Good morning everyone!

It’s really cold outside! Too cold for Heat Pumps to work very well. I would suggest switching your thermostats to Emergency Heat. EM HEAT.

Once the outdoor temp gets above 35 switch it back over to the Heat Pump.

Hello everyone!

This is kind of a long post but I feel it is information that could benefit any homeowner with an HVAC system installed in their home.

I ran into an unfortunate situation this last week that reminded me of why I started my own HVAC company. My goal is to provide Honest, Accurate, Reliable and Affordable Customer Service. Unfortunately there are quite a few HVAC companies out there that don’t share my Ethical and Moral standards.
I was called out by my new customer, Ryan, because his Heat Pump system was not working. Upon arrival he explained that his Heat Pump had been recently replaced by another local HVAC contractor but his newer Heat Pump only occasionally worked but now the whole system was down.
I opened up the Air Handler to start my Diagnosis and found some scary surprises!
Several of the high voltage wires and components inside the Air Handler had burned up creating a fire hazard. When I opened up the Evaporator Coil Cabinet I found the Internal Insulation had come loose from the Air Handler walls and was sucked onto the coil. This blocked all air flow through the coil which overheated the system. That was why all the wires and components were burnt up.
As I investigated further I found where the original HVAC Installation contractor had removed the Internal Air Filter Rack from inside the Coil Cabinet. Coincidentally that Filter Rack was the only mechanical connection that held the insulation in place. Over time the glue failed and the blower sucked the insulation onto the evaporator coil.
So that was failure number one, but here is the kicker, the coil had been blocked for many years and that is why the first Heat Pump failed.
Failure number two. A new Heat Pump was installed but that local HVAC contractor who did it never looked for the reason it failed. So the new Heat Pump has suffered damage because another “Trusted” HVAC guy didn’t know how to actually do his job.
A yearly System Maintenance and Cleaning would have caught these issues before any major damage could have been done.

I am happy that I was able to get Ryan’s system back into optimal working condition but I feel frustrated that he was put into this situation in the first place by shoddy workmanship.

We Wish You All A Very Merry Christmas!!!

We would like to Thank Erik Seley and his wife Stephanie for giving us the opportunity to upgrade the heating system in their beautiful home from Cable Ceiling Heat to an incredibly Efficent Daikin Ducted Mini Split System.
Understandably they did not want to see the wall mounted units that you would typically see with a Ductless Mini Split. The Daikin FDMQ Air Handler is the perfect alternative combining the invisibility of a Central Air Heating System and the Ultra Efficiency of a Mini Split Inverter System. The bonus is that this type of system still Qualifies for the Clark PUD $1000.00 Ductless Heat Pump Rebate and the $300.00 Federal Tax Credit!
They will also see a Huge reduction in their Electric bills!

We had a fun little job the last two days! Not very often that you get to replace a Heat Pump Packaged Unit on a Residential Home. We would like to give a big Thank You to customers Bill and Karry for choosing us to replace their old system that wasn’t working. They were also having airflow issues so I had to jump into the Crawl Space to investigate.
CATS!! We are cat lovers but they don’t belong under the house!
After replacing some damaged ductwork and installing the new American Standard Heat Pump Packaged Unit they now have great Air Flow and Heat!

It’s been a busy week! We’d like to Thank Jared for having us change out his Gas Furnace. It had a plugged Heat Exchanger and wasn’t working properly. The only open day in our schedule was Sunday but we made it happen! We were able to install a New Ruud 96% Efficient, 2-Stage, Variable Speed Gas Furnace with a Lifetime Heat Exchanger Warranty and a 10 year Parts Warranty and get his Heat back on! We also installed an upgrade on his Filtration System with a Honeywell F100 4” Filter Cabinet. This system works great and will save on his heating bills and provide better air flow.
