An Excessive Heat Warning for the Central Valley continues to be in effect from Tuesday morning into Thursday evening with Major HeatRisk and widespread upper 90s and 100s anticipated. Be please sure to make your heat safety plans before our approaching heat event☀️

Major HeatRisk is in the forecast for next week, Wednesday & Thursday, June 5-6, 2024. This type of HeatRisk is dangerous to anyone without proper hydration or adequate cooling. Afternoon highs could be in the mid to upper 100s, with mid 60s to low 70s for overnight lows.

Tuesday clean up of leaves!

Yesturday Jimmy spent the day taking loads to the dump for the ILCThrift store that is relocating. People broke into the dumpster and made a huge mess. Still a lot of work to be done!

Hello Big Blue Barn friends,

Every year, Yolo County has strived to grow and improve our Big Blue Barn in some fashion. This year, we’re taking a big leap forward, and have committed to having the store open EVERY THURSDAY! That’s right… once a week, between 9am and 3pm, the store will be open for you to come visit. Payments will be accepted in cash, credit, apple pay and google pay.

Another difference for 2023 is, on the third Saturday of each month, we will be hosting a half price (50% off) sale.

The last part of this schedule change is, we are not going to be open on any Friday in 2023. We took a huge step going from being open 24 days this past year to 63 days in the coming one. These changes are largely based on the public survey conducted this past fall. We hope everyone will be pleased with the improvements and we look forward to seeing you in the coming year.
