Thank you for a wonderful season and the kind words at last evening’s award party. I love seeing those beautiful faces as they receive their awards and hearing how much fun they had this summer. The parent relay had one of our most dramatic finishes with the ringer Ashlee Jones swimming the final leg. Good luck to our 30 ASA State Swimmers today at GT. Coach Morgan and I are expecting great things from this group. We will post pictures of all the hardware later this evening. Special thanks to Smile Doctors Orthodontics for providing Kona Ice last evening for our celebration.

These coaches have led us to Victory-ONE MORE TIME! Can’t wait to see everyone at the awards night/team swim party celebration that will take place on Thursday night!

Swim Team is away tonight at Bradshaw Farms. We are super excited about getting the new blocks installed. It was a team effort from Peter Forsberg building them to Sweetwater Pool getting them anchored appropriately. First home swim meet in 2 weeks.

Important dates are set!!!

May 17th at 4:15: Dive Certification for all new Deer Run swimmers at Gold Swim in Downtown Woodstock. No practice at Deer Run North Pool.

May 22nd during normal practice times: Time trials to help place swimmers in the appropriate events.

Deer Run Dolphin Swim Practice Starts Tomorrow!!!

1. Bring a towel and your goggles.
2. Arrive 5 mins early for practice.
3. Swimmers 10 and under should write their first name on their back (right shoulder). Sharpies will be available at the pool.

Be prepared for a fun summer!!!

The NEW Deer Run Dolphins 2024 REMIND App is ready to join! Here are the instructions! Parents and anyone involved with practices or last minute meet info can join (grandparents, babysitters, etc.) remember you must join for each individual year (it does not carry over from 2023)

Check your e-mails for our 2024 Intro Letter. Next e-mail will be sent the week before practice starts (May 6th). Late registration is still open.

Super excited for our 2024 Deer Run Dolphins. 102 registered swimmers with 29 first year Dolphins. 48 swimmers under the age of 8. We were even able to fill all of our male swim relays except for the 9-10 boys (we have some really good 7/8 that can swim up for relays).

Look for a Welcome Letter later this week with instructions on job sign-ups and directions where everything can be found on SwimTopia.

Last weekend for registration. Late fees start on Tuesday the 16th.

Where are our male Dolphin swimmers at? We are at 80 strong with 6 days of registration left. The age groups of 9-10 and 13+ boys are below the magic number (4) needed for a relay. Come have some fun and bring a friend with you. Early registration ends April 15th.

Time is running out to be a Dolphin in 2024. We have added 5 more junior coaches to go with our 5 returning ones. This allow us to have more individualized instruction and a 2-1 swimmer to coach ratio at all practices for 10 and unders. We want all of our swimmers to feel comfortable in the water and it is a life skill that could possibly save a life. The 2nd most important part is having fun. We have 5 swim meets with themes, music, and the best food ever (a little barbecue by Jeremy and hoping the beignets return for year 2). Fun Fridays after swim meets and an end of the year party in late June. It is a quick 2 month season but well worth it.

65 signed up so far with 100+ being our goal. Spread the word to make the April 15th deadline.

Deer Run Dolphin Meet and Greet is on March 18th from 6-7:30 at the lower level of the North Clubhouse. Coaches and coordinators will be available to answer questions and help with registration. Deadline to register is April 15th. Late registration will be available with an additional $20 fee/swimmer. Please share with neighboring communities.

We are off to a great start with registration. 25 Dolphins are committed and ready to go. There will be a meet and greet for parents and swimmers on March 18th. It will be at one of the Deer Run Clubhouses (hoping West will be available). Come by and meet Coach Morgan and our Junior Coaches (4 returning/6 up and coming). Pick up for all Awards and Pictures leftover from the Swim season will be tonight 7/13 from 8:30-9 PM at the North Pool with Mr. David Parker (Ribbon Guy) as it is Teen Night
