fundamentals at River & Stone Thursdays at 5:45p Kris Collins leads our open, rolling, weekly Fundamentals. River & Stone emphasizes the importance of a strong foundation and divine alignment to our practice of yoga, and it is a core value to educate on building blocks to ensure we are building wise practice for YOUR body. We provide framework in Fundamentals, and we refine together as you become more integrated and fluent in yoga practice at River & Stone. Kris was intentional in the creation of a 5-Week Rotational Fundamentals curriculum. While this is an encouraged introductory class for students, and intended to be a steady, consistent open door for beginners, it can also be a valuable “refresher” for seasoned practitioners. We will explore form, pranayama (breath work) and cultivating a strong, steady practice. In a workshop style, we will break down poses in more detail, work on increasing flexibility and exploration of the mind-body connection. There will be time dedicated during class for some discussion for the instructor to better get to know students and their individual goals with yoga practice. Fundamentals is open to all levels of experience. @krisc28

🤩 holy cow, friends. Thank you for the love. 💕 we love you right back. And we are *inspired* to just keep building this community and offering you our best. Thank you for being a part and practicing with us. 🙏🧘💃

Repost @stephprat86 🛝introducing you to my blanket slidersss I didn’t invent this concept, but… it’s a little integration of my love/hate sliders in my gym life and pure love for blanket slide work in yoga life. Traditional sliders you might see at a gym have a…connotation… and we’re not trying to be a HIIT class. (Although those are great too). They’re also overpriced pieces of plastic and I’m really not into plastic waste, but that’s another story. So I wanted a little blend. And took some yoga blankets I had in the closet, sloppily tried to cut them up, botched them on my sewing machine, and asked for some assistance from one of our lovely members @sewmydarlin . 🙏🥰 She did up these beauties which you now see at the prop wall… and might have been wondering what’s up. If you’ve practiced with me, you know my emphasis is first and foremost, *deep connection* with your body for movement. Slow and intentional, brain/body/spirit conversation. Listen, respond, talk to. Talk to your hip flexors, connect with deep glutes, envision the tissues around shoulder blades (shoulder love not pictured here). These slider movements aren’t intended to be rapid fire (again: not a HIIT class/AMRAP/EMOM… go somewhere else for that, can be another amazing movement practice, maybe I’ll bump into you). Being intentional in the body can be challenging, and we’re always learning more approaches to incorporate within our own bodies. Lifelong education, if you ask me. So come explore and let’s learn together. And the love/hate grumbles when the basket comes out? We always welcome and embrace the grumbles. 🙂

✨beautiful reflections & practices as our year comes to close. Much love to our growing community, thank you for being with us 💞

Healthy shoulders 💪🔥

Gina 🧚‍♀️ our spirited fairy, known for her creative and joyful vinyasa flows. She takes pride in the way her teaching has evolved in recent years to explore softness and depth of healing. Gina is beginning the very dedicated path towards becoming a Yoga Therapist this January, a grand gesture of her focus on healing through yoga practice. Join Gina 🌀Fridays 9:15a Slow Flow (…and you can bet she’ll be adding more times…!) Repost from @ginamandellayoga • In the spiritual world, a flow state of mind is about surrender. It’s about letting go of your ego, and training your senses to follow your personal path. It’s about getting out of your own way and allowing yourself to be successful and happy. A person can practice achieving a flow state when they totally immerse themselves in a task without judgment or over analyzing… and when they try to remain focused and at ease during the practice of that activity. In yoga, we “practice” flow when we immerse ourselves with the task of aligning the body in yoga poses without judgment and opinion. We let breath compassionately guide the body into place. Learning to trust, love, and accept ourselves. For that period of time we are practicing, we are in flow. • • The more you practice focused flow…the more you flow in life. Flow feels good. 🥰 • • Practice flow with me 🌸🧘‍♀️ YOGA Monday’s @matiyogastudio 8-9am heated flow. Tuesdays/Thursdays @releasewellbeingcenter 6-7am heated flow. 🌟OPENING UPDATES🌟 . We have been enormously honored with the outpour of the River & Stone Founding Member support in our pre-sale. We already have established quite a healthy memership base, demonstrating the level of interest, need, and enthusiasm for this additional yoga space in Worcester. We deeply bow to your trust and appreciate the wind you have put in our sails in these tricky start up phases of our business. We launched pre-sale at what we were anticipating to be 6 weeks; we are roughly on track for that timeline. We had put out some hopes of a 04/24 Grand Opening, recognizing it was ambitious. With everything else ready to launch, our team of wonderful contractors are wrapping up the buildout, which we have learned is quite the experience of "trust the process." It brought smiles and surprises yesterday when Kelly & I saw a slew of eager students had snuck into MindBody to sign up for classes originally posted for next week. We had a lot of lovely phone calls to make! Again, thank you for your excitement. We are aiming for the first week of May, but ask that you keep this in "dark pencil", not pen or stone, as we're going through some inspection stages. Let us remind that, of course, monthly and yearly passes purchased do not activate until the doors open. We will make our opening date quite known through social media and by email. Thank you for your grace in this process, and your trust and eager energy. We are confident River & Stone is going to be beautiful physical, emotional, and spiritual sanctuary. As always, please reach out to us if you have questions at [email protected], (774) 701-1142, or by DM here. The light of our entire team bows to you, and we can't wait to see you soon. Steph & Kelly
