Fairlawn Pumpkin' Pie.mp4
Timothy, a stroke patient at Fairlawn Rehabilitation Hospital, an affiliate of Encompass Health, entertained patients and staff during Rehabilitation Awareness Week. Patients participated in a pie making contest, and rather than making a pie, Timothy wrote a rendition of the song, "Chicken Fried" by the Zac Brown Band. When Timothy arrived at our hospital, his stroke had caused right sided weakness, and he required assist with all activities and movements. Our dedicated therapists, physicians and other team members worked tirelessly with Timothy and were sure to include activities he enjoys into his therapy sessions. Everyone at Fairlawn Rehabilitation Hospital reaped the benefits of his guitar playing, and great care equals great outcomes. Enjoy the song!
