Life Recovery is a Christian 12-Step group designed to help people struggling to overcome addictions, dependencies, and other life challenges. Whether your battling alcohol, drugs, po*******hy, technology addiction, gambling, overeating, or any other persistent life struggle, this group can help.

We meet on Fridays from 6:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. at 1035 Mumma Rd. Suite 203 (park and enter in the rear). Attendance is free. Donations accepted. Materials available at a nominal cost.

Happy New Year! Welcome to the first Monday of 2021.

The start of a new year can be an exciting time of renewed purpose followed by goal setting and setting out to make some changes. It can also be a time of frustration caused by memories of New Year's Resolutions past that we did not stick with.

As the name of our ministry suggests, we are looking to this new year, and to each day, for a humble beginning. That is to be humble to our complete dependence on God. We can't even draw a breath without him, let alone achieve some list of New Year's Resolutions.

Let's look to God today and thank Him for all He's done and humbly ask for his Help in all we seek to accomplish this year, this day, and in the next 5 minutes.

Your Humble Beginning:

“Humble yourselves, therefore, under the mighty hand of God so that at the proper time he may exalt you, casting all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you..” 1 Peter 5:6-7

Dear God,
As we begin this day, help us lay down our pride and renew our erring minds that so often make you small. Remind us, O God that you spoke light into darkness and fashioned us from dust. We thank you Father for the wonder and joy of your great and boundless love, by which you have us leave our worries at your feet and take comfort in your strength. Help us trust the care you have for us today.

In the name of Jesus Christ, we pray,
Amen.

Your Humble Beginning:

“Clothe yourselves, all of you, with humility toward one another, for “God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.” 1 Peter 5:5b

Dear God,

Help us begin this day humbly aware of our own shortcomings, mindful of our limitations and our ignorance. Help us lay down our need to be right or to make others wrong. In these days of neighbor divided against neighbor, may we hold fast to love. Help us to lay down our gripes and grievances towards each other and wrap ourselves instead in humility that we may abide in the glory and abundance of your grace.

In the name of our Lord, our Savior, our example of these things—the name of Jesus Christ, we pray,
