ATTENTION WORMLEYSBURG BOROUGH RESIDENTS!!!!

On TUESDAY, JUNE 18TH and WEDNESDAY, JUNE 19TH, the Borough will be Street Sweeping.

The affected streets will have NO PARKING signs posted by our Public Works Department on Thursday, June 13th and Friday, June 14th to inform residents, in advance, their vehicles must be removed from the street.

If you live on a street that is posted you MUST have your vehicle removed by 7 am on the day the sign requests.

The Borough Hall parking lot and the new adjacent South Front Street parking lot will be available for residents to use.

Police Officers will be in the area ticketing after 7 am on June 18TH and June 19TH .

Please remember to have vehicles moved off the posted streets!!

On Tuesday, April 23, 2024 Crestwood Drive at Rupley Park will be closed. This is necessary so that we can replace a storm sewer that is located on the street. Any local traffic may pass through as needed to get to their residence. Thank you for your cooperation.

Traffic Restrictions Next Week on I-83 John Harris Memorial (South Bridge) over Susquehanna River in Harrisburg, Dauphin County
Bridge to be inspected

Harrisburg, PA – Motorists in the Harrisburg area are advised there will be daytime traffic restrictions next week on Interstate 83 John Harris Memorial (South Bridge) spanning the Susquehanna River between Cumberland and Dauphin counties so an inspection can be performed.

Weather permitting, this work will be performed Wednesday, May 31, through Friday, June 2.

The southbound shoulder and/or northbound right lane will be closed from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM Wednesday, May 31, through Friday, June 2, at the Cumberland County end of the bridge. Three lanes and all on- and off-ramps will remain open.

Inspectors plan to inspect the South Bridge using an inspection crane from the roadway.

Travelers are reminded to be alert for these operations, to obey work zone signs, and to use caution when driving through work zones for their safety, as well as for the safety of the road crews.

Attention Lemoyne Residents: The Street Sweeper has been repaired and street sweeping will resume starting Monday May 8, 2023. Please be sure to take notice of the signs posted on your block for the day specific to your street.

WEATHER-RELATED REMOTE LEARNING DAY: Today's decision was a difficult one due to the timing of the inclement weather predicted. With the safety of our students and staff in mind, we will utilize remote learning today, Wednesday, January 25.

All West Shore students will be learning from home following a modified schedule with teacher-led, online Zoom classes. Please take a moment to review the additional information about today’s remote learning schedule being sent to you via email. This information can also be found on our website.

At this time, it is our plan to hold the High School Course Selection Nights scheduled at 6:30 p.m. tonight at each high school. If it is necessary to postpone these events, families will receive a notification.

Wormleysburg Borough is remodeling the office beginning Monday, January 23. The Borough office will be closed for the week of January 23 for demolition and will tentatively reopen on Monday, January 30. The project will last until mid-March. As always, should you have an emergency, please call 911.

During construction, Borough Hall staff will be available by appointment only until the construction is completed through the South Second Street entrance at Knisley Hall beginning January 30. The South Second Street entrance will be locked at all times. To schedule a meeting please call the office number – 717.763.4483 or email [email protected].

Please note that ALL council and committee meetings will be held in Knisley Hall until construction is complete.

CASE: Vehicle Entries off Yverdon Drive, Wormleysburg! West Shore Regional Police continues to take reports of vehicle entries and stolen vehicles off of Yverdon Drive in Wormleysburg. All vehicles entered have been left unsecured and the vehicles stolen had the keys left in them.
