This is despicable! People are removing our signs and throwing them into the woods. This picture was taken by the post office and the sign was originally placed firmly in the ground as I placed this last week. Every other sign was up. Our sign at Sakura keeps coming down too when every other sign remains!
Gina & I are two working moms with integrity and character. We have run a clean campaign with children at the center of it. These dirty tactics will not quiet our push to the finish line nor should it silence your vote!
Happy Halloween! We hope you have a great day with friends and family! While out trick or treating, don’t forget to remind your neighbors to vote and please spread the word about voting for us!
We simply want the best for ALL Wyckoff children. We have NO agenda - the children are our priority! Gina has the experience and track-record and Kathleen has the expertise as a pediatrician. Tuesday, November 2nd is just around the corner!
We also have a few lawn signs left if you need a treat on your lawn! 🎃 👻 🦇
Happy Halloween weekend! Election Day is right around the corner! Gina & Kathleen will most certainly be saying these phrases this weekend and enjoying the smiles on their children’s faces! 🎃 👻 🦇
Remember when voting for Wyckoff BOE (K-8) you have to fill in both circles - one for Georgina Nico & one for Kathleen Greaney!
Happy Wednesday!
Only six more days until Election Day!
Have you seen our most recent flyer?
Please let us know if you have any questions! Also remember to talk to your neighbors about why you are voting for us. Most importantly, don’t forget to vote - early voting, mail-in ballot or on Election Day!
Every vote counts! Thank you for your support!
School board meetings as well as the elections in Wyckoff and the FLOW area have gotten so contentious due to politics creeping in where it should not be. Any school board should be non-partisan.
Gina & Kathleen clearly have their focus on doing what is right for the children of Wyckoff and will not be distracted by the politics.
How did school board meetings turn into political battlegrounds? Passionate parents have always spoken up for their children at school board meetings, but it’s been taken to the next level lately, including elected members receiving threats and being harassed. What caused these meetings to take a turn for the worst? NBC’s Antonia Hylton reports in this week.....
Don't forget early voting starts today! See below for more information!! Please share with your friends and neighbors!
🗳️Attention VOTERS! For the first time New Jersey will have in-person early voting! If you do not vote by mail, you can go to any of the following polling locations starting TODAY!

Statement from Kathleen Greaney, MD, candidate for election to Wyckoff BOE:
Why I would be an asset to the Wyckoff Board of Education:
- Widely respected pediatrician for 17 years caring for our community’s children
- Partner/Owner of Maple Avenue Pediatrics
- Associate Director of Pediatrics at The Valley Hospital
- Have dedicated my career to caring and advocating for children and their families
- Know first-hand the importance of assisting children with the educational, social and emotional challenges that have arisen with the pandemic
- Deep roots in our community as a graduate of Wyckoff schools and Ramapo High School
Many of my friends and neighbors have asked me recently, “Why are you running for Wyckoff Board of Education when you clearly have enough to do?” They‘re right! I do keep busy with a job I love. But supporting children and their development is my passion. I also care deeply about our community and feel that my expertise and a fresh perspective would allow me to contribute to the BOE in a meaningful way.
My parents worked very hard to move our family from a crammed apartment to this bucolic suburb when I was four years old. It was their desire to provide my siblings and me with a top-notch public education. From Washington Elementary through Ramapo High, my educational foundation in Wyckoff prepared and helped motivate me to pursue my dreams.
As a “hometown girl,” I’ve learned how far a great public education can take you. I attended Duke University for my BS in Engineering, and UMDNJ-Robert Wood Johnson in Piscataway (now Rutgers) for my Medical Degree. I did my pediatric residency at Duke University Medical Center.
My background in medicine, caring for children, and managing a business makes me well-suited to serve on the BOE. I have been practicing pediatrics for more than 17 years at Maple Avenue Pediatrics where I am a partner in the business. I am the Associate Director of Pediatrics at The Valley Hospital. I have also been a district counselor for the New Jersey Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics.
Day-in and day-out, I have dedicated my career to caring and advocating for children. This gives me a track record of both anticipating and meeting their needs, including the necessary level of support and resources. And I have worked extensively with families and educators to determine what children require to be at their best, including how to navigate the challenges that have arisen (and persist) with the pandemic.
Georgina Nico and I are committed to providing a first-rate education for every Wyckoff student and fostering an environment that supports their social and emotional development. And we pledge to do this in a fiscally sound and prudent manner, and without being distracted by national politics or narrow agendas.
Thank you for the opportunity to serve Wyckoff. Please vote for Nico-Greaney on November 2nd.
Please see below for Endorsement for Nico & Greaney from Mrs. Drabik, former mayor of Wyckoff and Dr. Greaney's 6th grade teacher. We thank her very much. Used with permission from her post in Wyckoffians yesterday.
Nancy Reynolds Drabik
I have had the distinct pleasure of knowing Dr. Greaney since she was a student at Washington School. Even at a young age, her intelligence, ability to analyze data and draw conclusions, see the bigger picture, organize others and lead them within a group setting made her stand out among her peers. Her kindness and compassion toward others, her sense of responsibility and efforts to reach a compromise when there were group decisions to be made displayed her natural abilities as a leader.
I have followed Kathleen’s career trajectory and have been delighted to hear that she chose to be a pediatrician. Her analytical skills, and ability to maintain a deep understanding of current research in her field, as well as her passion for meeting the social, mental and academic needs of her patients are all evidence that she will continue these practices as a member of the BOE and benefit all students in our schools. The core values which guide her were first modeled by her family and encouraged by her faith. I truly feel that Dr. Kathleen Greaney would be an outstanding member of the Wyckoff Board of Education. She & Georgina Nico provide voters with a team of integrity that can be counted on.
Happy Sunday!
There are almost 2 weeks until Election Day! We hope you are sending in your mail-in ballots soon!
Welcome to the new individuals that have joined the page! Please feel free to e-mail us or send us a message if you have any questions. Lots of information can be found on the posts below. If you or your neighbor are in need of a lawn sign please let us know.
Also, be sure you talk to your neighbors about who you are voting for and why so everyone can be informed!
The finish line is close!
Statement from Georgina Nico, candidate for re-election to Wyckoff BOE:
The Wyckoff Board of Education has accomplished a lot during my six-year tenure and while I’ve served on the Finance and Negotiation committees. Most recently we:
• Ensured that Wyckoff Schools, the largest K-8 district in Bergen County, was among the first to return to full-time, in-person instruction, in May 2021.
• Achieved an average tax levy increase of only 1.1% over the past three years, including a 0.8% reduction for 2021-2022.
• Secured nearly $790,000 savings in future bond interest payments.
• Implemented full-day kindergarten benefiting more than 240 children and their families.
• Added two social workers to aid students with their social and emotional health needs during the pandemic.
• Oversaw capital improvements requiring no additional debt, including upgraded HVAC in all elementary schools and an updated electrical system and new generator at Eisenhower.
I believe passionately in a strong education and the pursuit of the American Dream, knowing first-hand the opportunities that our great land affords. I also believe there is no greater expression of patriotism than serving in our armed services, making me the proud sister of a US Army Veteran.
My family came to the United States from Lebanon when I was a young child, leaving in the midst a deadly civil war. I grew up in Jersey City while my parents worked menial jobs and learned English. They taught me that with a close family, hard work, and discipline, I could accomplish anything. I paid my own way through Seton Hall University while working full-time and earning my MBA from St. Peter’s University. During the course of my career in finance, I have earned several certifications including that of Certified Financial Planner, a professional designation held by relatively few women.
With two children of my own, I continue to work hard for my family and on the Wyckoff BOE. Kathleen Greaney and I are committed to providing a first-rate education for every Wyckoff student and fostering an environment that supports their social and emotional development. And we pledge to do this in a fiscally sound and prudent manner, and without being distracted by national politics or narrow agendas.
Representing our community is a great honor and something I hope to continue doing with your support. Please vote for Nico-Greaney on November 2nd. Thank you.

Here is Dr. Kathleen Greaney's statement for Wyckoff BOE. Please feel free to share with friends and family in Wyckoff as well as share our page.
My name is Kathleen M. Greaney, and I’m running for Wyckoff (K-8) Board of Education with incumbent Georgina Nico. Our platform is, simply, “MOVING CHILDREN FORWARD”. I have one daughter entering fourth grade this year, and I’d like to share my background with you to better inform your voting decision.
From Washington Elementary through Ramapo High School, my own educational foundation in Wyckoff has helped me to achieve my highest goals. I’m a “hometown” girl, having moved here with my family at age four, and I’ve learned how far a great public education can take you! I attended Duke University in Durham, NC for my BS in Engineering and UMDNJ-Robert Wood Johnson in Piscataway for my Medical Degree. I did my pediatric residency at Duke University Medical Center.
I have been practicing pediatrics for over 17 years at Maple Avenue Pediatrics. I am also the Associate Director of Pediatrics at The Valley Hospital. I have dedicated my career to caring and advocating for children, which has given me a unique perspective. I have worked with families day in and day out, and also with teachers and parents to determine the support children need to be at their best in the classroom. Unanticipated social and emotional issues have arisen with the pandemic, and we need to be there for our children on every level with the appropriate resources.
I want to make sure that your child─ and my child─ get a cutting-edge education in Wyckoff that provides them with unlimited opportunities. If elected to the Wyckoff BOE, I will strive to give all of our children the best learning experience possible, while helping to meet their social and emotional needs. I plan to do this while being fiscally responsible, I’m always open to suggestions and new ideas, and I look forward to hearing them.
I hope to earn your vote on November 2nd with Georgina Nico as we move our children forward!
Gina & Kathleen want to wish all of our Wyckoff children a happy & healthy school year!!!
