What a story book finish to the Fall Classic 125!

Had our 11 point lead heading into the Fall Classic narrowed down to six points after qualifying 26th due to a valve stem core breaking. Our plan was just like it was all season. BE THERE AT THE END. We knew the leaders were going to set a very fast pace to start the race. Nearly being lapped & dodging the big one in the first half we found ourselves sitting ninth at the 75 lap break. At this point we were behind by five points. My crew did a great job of giving me the adjustments I needed to have good fire off speed for the second half. With 25 laps remaining in the race we would find ourselves sitting seventh tied for the championship. The entire second half would go green until the end and with our competitor losing a position with two laps to go it would give us a two point lead and clinch ourselves the 2022 Northwest Super Late Model Series Championship & Rookie of the Year Award!

26th to 6th place finish!

I am incredibly grateful and humble to have had the opportunity to race for such a prestigious championship and award. I was also lucky enough to get a win under my belt at such a high level as well.

My crew and family put in so much time & effort this season. I can’t even explain how much this means to me. My crew chief Chance Overholt for putting together a car each and every week to give me a shot at a top 5 finish all year even at times we had a disadvantage. Jeff Stevenson for coming on this year and taking over our tire program and making sure the tires were where they needed to be every time we went on track. The Entire Thompson family. Steve, Rick, Karen, & Trace Thompson From making sure my engine is ready to go and on point to busting ass in the shop, and to having some good pulled pork sandwiches on rainy days. I couldn’t do it without you. Thank you to Jerod Marin & Kole Raz for coming along on weekends that we needed extra help and making sure everything got done that needed to get done. Emilee, Carson, & Mykala Anderson White for supporting each and every week as well as helping get things done at the storage unit when we needed to.

Recap from Wenatchee Valley Super Oval yesterday!

We qualified in the ninth position putting us one spot short of the redraw. On lap two of the main event we had contact that gave us a bit of damage on the right front. Ended up having to pit and restart in the back. The rest of the race was pretty rough. We tried to stay as clean as possible knowing we already had damage throughout the next 80 laps and found ourselves sitting fifth with about 30 laps left where once again contact was made that gave us more damage on the right front and also sent us to the back again. With 25 laps remaining everyone was doing what they could to get to the front causing multiple cautions. We found ourselves seventh with three to go and would end up gaining one position at the finish to come home unofficially 6th!

We have a lot of work to do to get this car ready for the championship race.

I can’t thank my crew enough! Chance, Jeff, Mykala Carson, Emilee, Jerod, and trace. You guys did great all day and helped get me back on track after the contact.

Thank you to my sponsors and supporters, without you guys I wouldn’t be able to compete for a championship let alone race at this level!

3rd place finish at Hermiston Raceway with the Northwest Super Late Model Series!

Started off the day completely missing in qualifying which put us 14th on the start grid. Slowly but surely made our way through the field missing a couple wrecks here and there. Found ourselves racing in the top five with 55 to go in the race. With about 30 to go we were battling for second and third and just couldn’t hold on to second place. Ended up finishing 3rd after starting deep in the field. Car is in one piece and ready to go the next one!

Thank you to my crew this weekend. These one day events are sure nice on everyone. Chance, Jeff, Carson, mykala, and Marcos did a great job getting this thing faster all day and then loading up quick at the end of night and getting home at a decent time!

Thank you to my sponsors, without you guys each and every weekend wouldn’t be possible!

Brought it home P2 at Stateline Speedway this weekend!

Our Port City Racecar was great all weekend! started off qualifying third (my best qualifying effort yet). After the redraw we ended up starting the race sixth. Green flag drops we ended up dropping back to about 10th position stuck behind another driver. The rest of the race was a fight back to the front racing against a stout field. We found ourselves third with 30 to go, ended up picking up second place on the final lap!

Can’t thank my crew for all the help enduring the heat and coming each and every weekend! The work doesn’t go forgotten. A big shoutout to Kole Raz for coming out and filling in for our team.

Thank you to my sponsors that help me get to the track each and every weekend allowing me to chase my dream

I dont even know where to begin.

A day that saw a lot of rain and wind didn’t stop the NWSLMS and Hermiston Raceway from putting on a stellar show!

Started the day off qualifying 8th which put us in the redraw. We ended up drawing the two chip which landed us outside pole for the race. On the initial start I made a rookie mistake and caused a lot of damage to innocent drivers. I want to apologize to everyone involved. I don’t like tearing up cars. Ended up doing a complete restart and dropped to third. We rode there for a nealry the entire race while keeping the top two within reach while conserving the tires. With Nearly 15 to go I was able to get past second and race for the lead until we made contact which brought out a caution. We were then sent to the back. Another restart and another big caution ensued. I was able to get through and come out in second place. A green white checkered to come and I had to have the restart of my life on the outside. I was able to get a great restart and be even with the leader. I drove it deep into one and the rest is history.

I have to give thanks to the people that make this car go fast and be good throughout the night. Chance Overholt, Jeff Stevenson, Rick Thompson, Jerod Marin, and Trace Thompson. Thank you guys so much!

I also have to give a huge thanks to the people that get me to the track and let me represent them:

What a weekend! Three days , two different races, and two top 5 finishes at Wenatchee Valley Super Oval!

Saturday evening was a blast. Qualified 10th and decided our game plan was to stay out of trouble. Missed a couple big wrecks early on which landed us up front in the race early. We ran inside the top three for majority of the race and ended up losing a spot on a late race restart to bring home a P4 finish in the Pro Late Apple Blossom 100.

Sunday was the Super late Model Leonard Evans 150. we found a great balance early on in practice but just didn’t have the horsepower to qualify well. We ended up starting P19 of the 23 car field. Started off the race well just riding around and buying time. By lap 80 we found ourselves cracked into the top 10. We were able to pass another 5 cars through the last 70 laps and come home with a P5 finish!

I can’t thank everyone that helped this weekend enough. It was a long and hard weekend on all of us and we were able to get it all done with two great finishes. Chance, Jerod, Rick, Justin, Caity, Mykala, trace, Karen, and Carson, Thank you all!

Huge thank you to our partners for getting us to the track and allowing us to do what we do:
