Weβll be hugging trees today at ITW!
We also learned about the various forms of transportation, such as cars, buses, trains, and planes, that we can take to travel from one place to another!
I cannot begin to tell you how many paper airplanes were being flown at ITW this past week!

We introduced our new chicks to Chicken Little this week! π
He is one of the most incredible roosters, and Iβm so thankful heβs so loving and kind. I literally watched him peck blueberries from my hand, and offer them to our bantam, Nugget earlier this week!
Our new chicks are almost ready to transition to the coop!
Their names are Faith, Finley, Fenguin, Ffion, Fixxi, Fern and Falcon π
Itβs safe to say that theyβve had a lot of love this past week.

β¦. and depending on where our adventures take us, we should always pack our hats!!! π
I hope you take the time to read what YOUR children packed in their suitcases! π§³
Huge thanks to Ms. Leanne for documenting every single thing!! π
This month, our learning adventures will take us on a thrilling journey around the globe!
We kicked things off last week by imagining a virtual vacation and packing our suitcases accordingly.
It was such a delight to watch my friends try on my clothes and act out what they would pack for their own trips.
In the end, we all agreed that our families, passports, pet dragons and of course, snacks, were the most vital items to include in our luggage! ππ
What did you see during Spring break with your littles?
Iβm so thankful that Spring is here!
The βJaneβ magnolia at my cabin is in full bloom and seeing the blossom on this apple tree just makes me so happy!
For all my Dino loving friends π¦π¦
I am so thankful for all the generosity shown through the donations of eggs and candy for our egg hunt on Friday.
Our event was a huge success, and it was amazing to see everyone enjoying sβmores in the sun and hunting for hidden treats. And let's not forget about the special appearance by T-Rex, who brought even more excitement to the celebration! π¦
On Forest Friday we colored eggs, and enjoyed eating scrambled eggs and toasted English muffins for breakfast around the fire pit!

The extinction of dinosaurs is still a topic of great debate among scientists, with various hypotheses attempting to explain the sudden disappearance of these magnificent creatures from Earth's surface. While some experts point towards an asteroid impact or colossal volcanic eruptions, others speculate about evolutionary changes or shifting environmental conditions that may have contributed to this phenomenon.
I asked the kiddos what their thoughts were regarding extinction. They had some very interesting answers indeed! One of my young friends thought that T. Rex βfartedβ so loud that it scared all the other dinosaurs away! π
This is them acting out what really happened!
We all know that birds evolved from a group of meat-eating dinosaurs called theropods. That's the same group that Tyrannosaurus rex belonged to, although birds evolved from small theropods, not huge ones like T. rex. The oldest bird fossils are about 150 million years old.
The process of making fossil cookies involved Ms. Leanneβs cookie dough, molding it into the shape of fossils, stomping Dino feet into the dough, and baking the shapes until golden brown.
The result was a delicious treat that looked like real fossils and the children loved eating them!
We created our own volcano with a funnel, some sand, a little moss and some ferns, baking soda, vinegar and food coloring! π
Playdoh volcanoes π
Launching dinosaurs was so much fun!! π¦
Hide and Seek Dinosaur sensory activity! π¦
These tiny hands are always actively engaged, constantly busy with various activities such as baking, cutting, painting, washing, exploring and doing all sorts of things! π₯°
The arrival of Spring means that I can now enjoy longer days filled with sunshine and quality time with these little friends, watching them grow and learn as we explore the Forest together! π
