Hey all!If you haven’t already , meet my mom , Kenya Olsen , who isn’t just my mom she’s my biggest supporter and much of the reasoning behind why I started One Girl Desserts back in 2012.If you’ve read the article in VA pilot back in 2015 ( https://www.pilotonline.com/news/article_91c7b83e-7983-5b6e-9d43-e2525521dd3c.html)it explains my moms struggle with systemic which is very debilitating, k started this bakery business to support my family as a young age . Goal in mind was to be able to care for my younger brother who has chronic and severe Asthma as well as my older brother Apache who is severely Autistic , nonverbal and incapable of doing things for himself independently .Well as most of u know I just had my grand reopening last Friday and you got to see my baby brother and mom in some of the photos, well when u come out today to pick up some cookies we are just one petals short and I wanted to explain why some days you won’t see my mom for instance today she is home in bed trying her best to regain her strength .Check out this video from my family on the Hampton roads show in May of 2012 , I had entered my mom in a deserving moms contest and they treated her to a pampered day which was well deserved .I love getting to know my customers in a personal basis , y’all are what keeps One Girl running , so I’d like to share with y’all my family 💕https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=D4k19ApvgmE
