We will have experienced and or licensed therapists teaching our kids the importance of taking care of their mental health.

There are three types of people you can choose to share your feelings with:

people you know (family and friends);
people you don't know (strangers), and;
professionals (therapists).

It’s hard to share stories, with your family and friends, simply because you know them and they know you. When you feel like sharing your anxieties or traumatic experiences with these people, there’s that instant feeling of fear or shame, that you might be judged or that they might have made fun of you.

Do you know what’s special about telling stories to strangers, or just random people you meet? They couldn’t judge you, or maybe they could. But do you care enough to think what they think when you don’t even know them?

When you share those feelings, negative thoughts, and traumatic experiences with professionals, you will get the perks of talking and sharing your stories with strangers. There will be no fear of judgment or feeling of being made fun of. We’re kind of in-between the people you know and the people you don’t know.

We’re not just here to listen. We are here to help, and to guide you on your journey of healing. It is a long process, and it takes time. Nobody else knows what you’ve been through and asking for help is a courageous step.

Hi! She is Edn (pronounced as Aiden). She's a licensed clinical social worker. That specializes in treating anxiety, depression, and stress-related to race, ethnicity, or sexuality among minority women.

The road to healing should never be taken alone. If you're feeling stressed, depressed, overwhelmed, or isolated, I'm here to help. The purpose is to guide you on your journey of healing from anxiety, grief, loss, and depression.
