We will be hosting a fundraiser to bring awareness and raise funds for Breast Cancer Awareness month and . 🩷

💓 What is Stuff-A-Bra? 💓
Stuff-A-Bra has been one of our BCA traditions held in October, to raise awareness and funds for Breast Cancer.

Stuff-A-Bra is when UTA fraternities compete by going around campus wearing decorated bras with a Gamma to collect donations from students and spread awareness!

Students are able to pay money to throw a ping pong ball in a fraternities bra or make a donation for a prize! ✨

🎄What is Angel Tree? 🎄

The Salvation Army Angel Tree program has been running for over 44 years to help provide Christmas gifts from generous donors for hundreds of thousands of children, seniors, and adults with special needs around the country each year. 🎁✨

In North Texas, which hosts one of the largest Angel Tree programs in the world, The Salvation Army ensures tens of thousands experience the joy of Christmas morning each year.

The Salvation Army’s Angel Tree program serves as a symbol of hope, particularly at a time when many are continuing to struggle with the impacts of inflation and rising costs. Across the region, thousands are faced with tough choices on how to stretch their already tight household budgets, leaving many torn between purchasing presents for the holidays or putting food on the table.

The Salvation Angel Tree program helps alleviate that added financial and emotional stress.

Sigma Lambda Gamma and its member groups actively support the important societal issue of Breast Cancer Awareness. Our support of this cause comes in various avenues: from fundraising campaigns; educational workshops to create awareness; active participation in run/walk events; volunteer participation with organizations; or a combination of these forms.

Breast Cancer Awareness is a cause that SLG holds close to our hearts, and we pride ourselves in educating communities and raising funds to support research and those affected . 💓

To honor Hispanic Heritage month. We wanted to highlight one of sisters .ashleyy_ passions for Ballet Foklórico!

What is Ballet Folkórico?

Ballet folklórico is rooted in storytelling about important aspects of each of Mexico’s regions’ history, geography, climate, and traditions. Folkloric dance expresses the life and spirit of a people through its movement and music.

What is Hispanic Heritage Month?

Hispanic Heritage Month is a month-long celebration of Hispanic and Latino history and culture. While we celebrate Hispanic and Latino communites beyond this month, from September 15 to October 15 we give extra recognition to the many contributions made to the history and culture of the United States, including important advocacy work, vibrant art, popular and traditional foods, and much more. Culture is Pride! Pride is Success!
