The Warwickshire Hunt Branch of the Pony Club

Yesterday WHPC had the amazing opportunity of jumping at Bolesworth. They all jumped amazing first rounds in a very competitive competition to finish in second place and get a place in the second round jumping in the International arena. With 3 members finishing in the top 15 individually! Again they all jumped beautiful rounds in what was a speedy relay competition to finish in 2nd place, just 3 seconds behind the winning team.

Another successful day yesterday at Area Horse & Pony Care for the Junior & Senior teams, 2nd & 3rd for the two Junior teams with a place at Championships for the 2nd placed team and a closely fought Senior competition ending in a 3rd & 4th place finish. Great team spirit shown by everyone 🎉

First time for WHPC competing in the Area Quiz, we sent three teams and all got placed in the top 10. WHPC teams were 6th, 8th & 9th.

A busy weekend for 3 WHPC riders at the Pony Club Spring Barrier Animal Health Championships.

Katherine C and Amelia M competed in the 80cm and 90cm championships respectively. These were huge classes with 100 pony club riders battling out at each height. Katherine had a great warm up round finishing 16th, but sadly had jumping faults in the champs. Amelia jumped the huge 90cm warm up with a time to rock the leader board but just clipped a pole, the even bigger championship round was causing issues for many riders with only 12 double clears out of nearly 100 riders. Amelia rode a super round but rotten luck when a pole was tipped once again. Great experience for these girls who both looked super smart on their beautiful mounts.

Jasmine W was competing in the dressage champs and the arena eventing 70 champs with a different horse in each. she rode a lovely test producing a 68.56% championship test and held on to a top 10 placing until the last few riders rode, ending up a very respectable 13th. In the arena eventing Jasmine rode a super clear round picking up just 3.2 time penalities - not close enough to the optimum time but fabulous experience nevertheless.

A super day out at Barrier Animal Health spring festival arena qualifer yesterday at Rodbaston College

Whpc had 10 riders across the 70, 80, 90 and 100.

Everyone rode really well around the twisty course. Some exciting riding and it all came down to going clear and being as close to and under the optimum time as possible. Classes were huge with 36 teams and nearly 140 riders.

100cm Lottie and Lizzie 7th and 5th

90cm - Charlotte C 4th, Lizzie 22nd

80cm - Jasmine 11th and 24th, Katherine 28th, Iona 37th,

70cm - Jasmine 3rd and 38th, Zara 7th, Iona 23rd, Lottie 33rd, Minne 36th, with Charlotte and Francesca just having a hiccup on the day!

What a great day and lots of team support for each other.

Fabulous show today at Moreton Morrell, thank you to everyone for coming. Was lovely to see so many children enjoying themselves, new faces and old.

We were very glad for Farriers Fayre to be there providing us warm food and drinks.

We had many riders trying new heights and lots of new horse and pony combinations too. Fabulous riding from everyone. Even those few that didn’t make it round.
