This was a front garden make over at a property in Wavell Heights.

We first had to dig out the front garden to bring our levels back to where necessary. Footings were then dug out for the bottom 1m high section of wall & steps. We then concreted in new footings to a depth of 400mm & installed reo bar at intervals and then constructed the new 1m high wall to both areas, either side of steps.

We then dug out footings for the top wall and other side of driveway. Concreted in new footings & installed reo bar at
intervals and then constructed the new 400mm high wall with 1.4m high pillars at 2.4m intervals.

We then concrete core filled the walls and pillars. We then rendered the walls and pillars, leaving a sand finished look.

We has installed electric cable from the house to the top wall where gate needed to be installed. In between the bottom wall & the top wall, we formed a flower bed using lavender plants.

We then constructed steps out of bessa block & concrete which we then layed pavers to the front risers and treads of steps.

The two sections at bottom we layed paver concrete edging to form a flower bed all around area. We then installed soil & native plants to areas. We then laid crusher dust and white pavers in a diamond formation to two middle sections. We installed synthetic grassed to areas.

We then had a company install the panels between the pillars and the electric gate.

This was a job in Brighton for a complete overhaul of the front fence & garden. Demolished old metal fence & concrete where posts where. We dug out & installed electric cable to the bottom of the footings running through to gate (compliant with Qld standards) & concreted in new footings to a depth of 450mm deep x 500mm wide x 15m long. We then constructed a bessa block wall & 6 pillars . Inserting reo bar into the pillars & footings & into the wall. Pillars were 1.8m high overall & the wall was 600mm high approximately. We then concrete core filled the wall & pillars & fitted a pillar cap to the top of each pillar. One pillar had a letter box fitted. We then rendered the wall inside & out leaving a sand textured finish. We then installed a concrete a plinth to the back of the wall so that a gate could be installed. Plinth was 5m long x 200mm wide x 150mm deep. We then painted the wall. We then had a company install the panels between the pillars & the electric gate.

Inside the wall, we dug out & installed a small concrete footing 15m long x 300mm deep x 400mm wide. We then constructed pre cast decorative concrete block wall to form a garden bed behind the new fence. The garden wall was 500mm high tapering to 300mm high.

In front of the house, where the garden meets the concrete path, we dug out & concreted in similar footings & constructed the same decorative retaining 500mm high along the front edge with a return of 500mm high tapering to 200mm high around corner. We then installed geo fabric to back of wall and drainage. We installed 12 cubic meters of soil & then laid 80 square meters of Sir Walter Turf.

This was a job in Bracken Ridge where the client asked us to create a seaside retreat where they could sit & relax & forget the world. We dug & cleared out all turf & bushes from the area. The Bali Hut was constructed. We then constructed a 600mm high wall, which could also be used as a bench. At the rear of the wall we created a flower bed using native plants that require no maintenance. We then put all levels in, to fall into drain near Bali Hut. We then created two winding paths from house to Bali Hut & front gate to Bali Hut. We then got Sandstone Crazy paving to form stepping stones to the Bali Hut. We then laid Golden Lush synthetic turf between the pavers. We then laid w**d mat all over the area and laid 40mm sandstone pebbles. We then installed small wooden posts to add effect. The client then added their own personal touches to the area. 🧡

Loganholme - Synthetic Grass 02/05/2016

This was an area at the side & rear of a property that had not been used for years.

We dug off all the w**ds & dead grass. We then installed a line of 400mm x 400mm square pavers to form a solid path. We then layed & compacted crusher dust to put in levels. We then installed synthetic grass to the areas. Side area was 16m x 2m & the rear area was 3m x 6m.

Warner - Landscaping 02/05/2016

This was a brand new property that needed landscaping on two sides & rear.

On the two sides of the property, we installed drainage at the correct height, laid road base to put in correct levels. We then compacted this & layed w**d mat, conreted in two lines of stepping stone pavers 400mm x 400mm square. Then we layed Gold Coast Cream stone to the areas which was approximately 20m x 2m x 2.

To the rear we installed drainage & then layed road base & compacted then layed w**d mat. We then layed & compacted crusher dust to form levels & then install synthetic grass to area at rear - approximately 70 square meters.

We installed synthetic grass as the client did not have time to do any gardening & this created a maintenance free area to sides & rear.

Northgate 01/05/2016

This was a small courtyard where grass would not grow. We dug out the grass, installed some stepping stone pavers & layed synthetic grass to the area which was 6m x 2m.

We then created a screen by planting some established bushes for privacy.

Carseldine - Landscaping around new house 03/01/2016

We did this job in three ongoing stages to try & minimilise any disruption to the client.

Firstly we worked on the front. We erected a small wooden fence at the side of the garage. We then dug off the front garden area & created a garden bed using pavers bedded on concrete. We then filled up the garden bed using quality soil & bark chippings. We then levelled off the grass area & laid Winter Green Turf - area approximately 50 square meters.

Secondly we worked on the side. We installed concrete sleepers to form a solid edging against the neighbours. We erected a colour bond fence which was 1.8m high x 29m long. We installed Agg pipe to aid with drainage at the base of the sleepers. We then laid & compacted road base & crusher dust & installed synthetic grass which was 2m x wide x 14m long. We also made & installed double gates to entrance at the side for security.

Thirdly we worked on the rear of the house. We dug out & concreted footings for a Versa Block retaining wall which were 18inches deep x 17meters long. We then built the Versa Block wall which we then erected colour bond fence on top of it making the wall & fence combined 1.8m high. We installed Agg Pipe at the base of the wall for drainage & piped it into a large gulley which we installed. We then installed & compacted road base & crusher dust with all falls falling towards to the drain. We then installed synthetic grass 17m long x 4m wide.

Holland Park - Fence & Timber Retaining Wall 03/01/2016

This job had an old 1.2m high wooden fence at the end of the garden. We took down the old fence & erected a hardwood sleeper retaining wall to hold back soil etc & also to give extra height. The timber sleepers were 2.4m long x 75mm thick. The wall & fence were 18m long. The wall was 2 sleepers high in places stepping up to the 3 & 4 sleepers high. We also then installed a 1.4m high timber fence on top of the wall to make the wall & fence combined 1.8m high. We used metal posts rather than wooden ones. This now gives the garden total privacy.

Wavell Heights - Drainage & Landscaping 03/01/2016

When we looked at this job the patio area flooded when it rained & water was running into the house. To stop this we took up a line of pavers in front of the patio doors dug down & concreted in drainage channels in an L shape approximately 15 meters long. This then stopped any water enterting the house.

The client wanted all the grass removing & wanted a maintenance free area. We dug up the grassed areas at the sides & rear of the property & at the main side we lifted & relaid 2 rows of 400 square pavers in a line for easy access. We then laid & compacted 50mm of crusher dust & installed synthetic grass to these areas. The areas at the side is 23 meters long x 2 meters wide

Garden & Patio - Tarragindi 09/08/2015

This job was done in two stages - upper garden grassed play area & lower level paved patio area.

All the digging & excavation work had to be done by hand as there was no room to allow machinary in. All the soil dug out was reused in the top upper tier area to make up new levels.

Firstly we dug out the bottom paved area & put it in the top area. We then dug out from the existing wall 1.5m back x 10m long to create a flower bed. We then constructed a retaining wall using treated pine sleepers which were 2.4m long x 200mm wide x 75mm thick. At a point in the wall we built some steps & installed a pathway out of the sleepers. We then installed 65mm diameter agg pipe at the rear of the wall to aid with drainage.

On the upper tier we laid, levelled & compacted quality under turf soil & then laid & rollered Sir Walter Turf - the area was 10m wide x 8.5m long. We then laid Cyprus Gold Bark chippings to the flower bed area to give it a more decorative look.

On the upper & lower timber walls we put a sleeper on edge to create a seat or bench.

We then started work on the lower paved area which was 2m wide x 8m long. We laid w**d mat on the area. We then installed 400mm x 400mm Charcoal pavers on a bed of wet mix concrete. Then we joined the old pavers at the side in a stepping stone pattern with the new pavers & then we installed white stones to the outside of the paved area. This helps with drainage.

Isle of Capri - Gold Coast 09/08/2015

We chose to install 40mm pile synthetic grass to this internal court yard so as to have a maintenance free area. Firstly, we installed a drain to the correct height to take any rainwater away. We then plant a Mock Orange bush at one end to break up the area. We then installed a synthetic wooden decking. This is also maintenance free. We then laid, levelled & compacted 50mm thick of crusher dust to the area which was 4m wide x 12m long making all falls falling to the drain. We then laid the 40mm pile synthetic grass to area.

Oxenford - Synthetic Grass 29/03/2015

We chose to install synthetic grass to this area as normal grass would not grow. We dug off area, approximately 45 square meters, provided & laid crusher dust to area 50mm deep & put levels in. Laid 30mm pile Synthetic grass with no joins & pinned down whole area cutting in around area. Area is now a mud free childs play area.

The top level retaining wall was 800mm high x 25m long using the same sleepers. We installed 100mm Agg Pipe to the rear of both walls. Reused & relayed pavers to front of wall & installed drainage pits at 3m intervals.

Timber Retaining with Fanned Steps 27/12/2014

1.2m high x 3m long treated pine sleeper wall. We used 75mm x 200mm x 3m treated pine sleepers. The steps were the same size sleepers shaped into a fan pattern with concrete infill with a small rockery at the side and a recessed drainage channel at the top.

Colorbond Fence with Lattice Screening 27/12/2014
