The Australian federal election has been announced for 21 May 2022. Australians in Japan will be able to vote via postal vote. Check your enrolment and apply for a postal vote here: aec.gov.au/overseas. Votes can be sent directly to the AEC in Australia, the Australian Embassy in Tokyo or the Australian Consulate-General in Osaka. If you need to drop your ballot off in-person, please deliver it to the guardhouse at the Australian Embassy in Tokyo’s main gate. For more information please see our website:
