Join them on this Friday evening, December 1st, 2023, at 7 PM, as we gather at Ederney Townhall for the grand switch-on of the Christmas lights. The Ederney Mummers will be playing their part in the celebration with their unique brand of merriment, setting the stage for a magical Christmas season.

Experience a Special Late-Night opening at Cassie’s Bakes in the Tearooms this Friday evening (1st December) from 5pm to 8pm and enjoy the holiday spirit with festive tunes starting at 5.30pm, leading up to the magical moment when we switch on the village Christmas Lights at 7pm.

The Ederney Mummers, known for their vibrant and entertaining performances, have always aimed to spread cheer while supporting local charities. Last year, they rallied behind Enniskillen’s Aisling Centre and its good work associated with mental health, and this year, their hearts are set on backing the Fermanagh Palliative Care Transport Team.

🚗 𝗣𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁 𝗦𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲 – 𝗕𝗿𝗶𝗱𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗗𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲𝘀, 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘁𝘀

The Fermanagh Palliative Care Transport Team is a local charity on a noble mission. They provide comfortable transport by car to individuals from County Fermanagh who require cancer treatment. Given the long distances to Belfast City Hospital or Altnagelvin Hospital and the lack of adequate public transport links, this service becomes a lifeline for many.

This registered charity depends on the generosity of the community. Volunteer drivers go the extra mile, both literally and figuratively, ensuring patients can access the care they need. The charity covers mileage expenses through donations, making it possible for those battling illness to focus on their well-being without the added stress of transportation costs.

Our Summer bookings for 2022 are now filling up! Summer 2021 was our busiest season so far, and we are hoping that this season will be no different! We have 2 fully equipped apartments suitable for 2 adults and 2 children in each! They are also suitable for 2 families holidaying together and have secure outside space. We are located within a short driving distance to the lakes of Fermanagh and the blue flag beaches of Donegal. Both perfect for family days out.
