Dear Supporters,

“Shree Mangalam Society” was opened in May 2015 in Dehradun district of Uttrakhand. Being a capital, many slum areas have developed as people have migrated from hills in search of work. As a result, many children are left home or they go to a government school but have no means to take tuition as they are the first learner’s of the family. We provide an after school program (tuition) for these kinds of students for improving their educational skills.

We also reach to children who are not able to get basic education as they are labors kids(migratory) & move from one place to another another in search of work. Shree Mangalam reaches to them in their place of living where they can even took after their younger brothers and sisters. These all come under our project “CHANDRAMUKHI”. Apart educating these children (especially girls) Shree Mangalam also looks after their self cleanliness & hygiene .

Women have always been marginalized and relegated to the status of subjugated class in the Indian society. Especially in rural areas, women have not actively participated in their emancipation due to their lack of economic independence and illiteracy. Women should be organized and strengthened at the grass root level to end their subordination. Shree Mangalam Society is making an attempt in that direction to make rural women self sufficient through their skill. The main aim of this program is to enhance the quality of life of women through increased knowledge and skills. Shree Mangalam also realized that merely imparting literacy would not be sufficient .The women need vocational training or skills also to uplift their status. They should be able to stand on their feet and be an earning member of the family. In our project ‘PEHCHAN” we help underprivileged women to realize their inner power & help them to stand with the heads high in the society.

As we are a non-profit organization we require funds to support this program and it has to employ staff for it’s requirement. More & more children are joining as daily. As Shree Mangalam Society has a dedicated staff whose reaching to them with utmost sincerity.

Your Small Contribution of Rs 800 for a month for one student will help us to give them what they deserve. We have around 200 students who are looking up to you all help them both holistically & lifting them from poverty.

Your Small Contribution of Rs 1000 for one Lady will help them to stand with the heads high in the society & live with dignity.
