The United Nations magazine UN TODAY published on UNESCO World Futures Day an article (English + French) featuring the Homes for Humanity movement and the One Home Journey, under the title “A PLANETARY JOURNEY TO THE RESCUE OF THE 2030 AGENDA”. The article also lists our key partner organisations on this journey. In these challenging times it highlights our combined power as Earth citizens and the exponential power that lies in our collaboration and partnership – for our One Home. Please share widely.

Today is a special day for Home for Humanity, as for the first time we are participating in GIVING TUESDAY – a day to “unleash radical generosity across the planet” – a quality so needed in our troubled world. It is in that spirit that we invite you to join and share our Earth Citizens’ Collective Gifting Campaign, as we are building up for the “One Home Journey – 7 Years for 7 Generations”.

Dear Friends and Colleagues
Today, we share with you some of the key learnings from the recent 2023 Spirit of Humanity Forum (1 to 3 June in Iceland) to which we as co-founders of Home for Humanity, together with two of our “dream team” members from Africa, were invited: Leogah from Cameroon, and Muziwanele from Zimbabwe. The focus of the Forum, that gathered over 120 leaders from around the world, was "Healing a World in Crisis: Leading with Authenticity and Love".
The dialogue-based, retreat-like forum, embedded in Iceland’s breath-taking nature, was highly transformative on a personal as well as collective level, strengthening and interconnecting the work that each of the participating changemakers across all sectors of society, focuses on.
The opening interview with Iceland’s Prime Minister Katrin Jakobsdóttir, and the invitation to the residence of Iceland’s President Guðni Thorlacius Jóhannesson (see foto), turned into remarkable and deeply inspiring experiences for all participants of down-to-earth, world-open, ego-free and service-centered leadership.
These inspirations, together with the transformative atmosphere generated by the Forum organizers, opened the space not only for personal and collective healing and transformation, but also paved the way to openly and constructively address profound “pain-points” that mark the current global crisis.
One of these pain-points were surfaced by the humiliating refusal of the VISA to travel to Europe for our Zimbabwean team member Muziwanele, despite top level support from highest Icelandic authorities and from our own global Home for Humanity network. Collectively, participants were faced and actively dealt with the reality of inhibited mobility, discrimination, inequality and racism as well as post-colonial attitudes that so many of our fellow human beings on a daily base suffer from.
At the same time, through Muzie’s video address and artistic-poetic video (attached), participants witnessed the resilience of a young man to move from humiliation to strength, from pain to healing, from discrimination to dignity. The collective support and healing process, that all participants went through, epitomized in Muzie’s video, was immense. It was a showcase for “a way forward”, an example of the Spirit of Humanity, driven by authenticity and love – and, for us, a powerful expression of the vision and commitment of Homes for Humanity worldwide to co-create a regenerative and peaceful, JUST and INCLUSIVE Earth Culture.
