We talked business, we voted for our upcoming resolution and then we make shoes cakes! Thanks to our lovely Lis for facilitating...the first 4 shots are those made earlier (Blue Peter style) and the others are the before, during and after efforts from our ladies. All fantastic I'm sure you will agree and Coronation themed of course 👑 See you all next month ❤️
Our Wednesday meeting saw the annual AGM, where we round up the work and activities we have done over the year and also cast votes for a new President. I can confirm that this year the Presidency will be shared by Lianne and Lynne. This will mean we are looking for someone to share/take on the secretary duties this year. We also had a spring photo competition and Rachel won with the stunning white flower picture...bonus points if anyone can name the flower. Our WI advisor, Jan, who oversees the AGM was on hand to present Rachel with the winners cup. Till next month ladies ❤️

NFWI Public Affairs Chair, Nicky Amos attended the launch of the Great British Spring Clean event in Parliament on Tuesday. Nicky is photographed with KBT CEO Alison Ogden-Newton OBE.
The WI founded Keep Britain Tidy from a resolution in 1954, calling for a campaign to ‘preserve the countryside against desecration by litter.’ This resolution subsequently led to the formation of the Keep Britain Tidy group.
The Great British Spring Clean will take place from 17 March to 2 April, and you can pledge to pick up a bag of litter and eliminate waste from today!
