As you all know Christmas Eve was our very last day. We wanted to say a massive thank you to you all, for your continued support over the last 30 odd years. We have seen your children grow and then become loyal customers themselves. Some of you have become very good friends. The decision to shut the shop was a hard one, but there comes a time when you need to have a bit of a lighter load (seeing as I’m getting on a bit now) and spend some time with the family. I will be joining my brother Mark in our Harold Hill shop so we can both take a bit of time for ourselves. I have loved serving you all these years and will miss seeing your faces.
The shop will still be a butchers and your new butchers name is Michael. Please show him your support just like you you have shown us over the years.

Dear Customers and Friends, due to the unsettling times, we feel it is only right to reduce our opening days to help reduce the footfall in our town. We will only be open Thursday, Friday & Saturday at our usual times. I hope you all understand. We need to try and keep the community safe and in doing so helping our NHS. Look after yourselves and thank you for your support 🥩

The shop is open tomorrow and will be unless any changes are put into place to say that only supermarkets are to be used. We are now fully stocked. Thank you for your continued support. These are really worrying, testing times. Please keep safe 🥩

Hi all, this page was set up a while ago, but not being very social media savvy it was forgotten about. But in these very uncertain times realise the need of social media when social distancing is going to be our norm for a while to come.
Would like to say sorry to anyone who has called the shop over the last couple of weeks and not got through. We are short staffed at the moment and as you can imagine it’s been a real crazy time.
I must say for the most, customers have been brilliant, a real sense of togetherness, even helping us anti-bac spraying the counters down. Just fab. There are sanitising wipes in the shop, been using card payments when people can. We do appreciate all your help guys. The safety of our customers and staff is of great importance to us. Thank you all.
MONDAY we are off to market to stock up, hopefully we will be able to get everything we need to serve you lovely lot. If there is something you usually buy but can’t get there is always a substitute. TUESDAY we will be open normal times 8-5.
Thank you all for your continued support, these are trying times for all, but we will get through this. We are a community that’s stands by each other. The Great Canvey Spirit. Long may it continue.
