DMS Bands

Our marching band students start band camp tomorrow. They’ll be working hard all week to learn their show. Come out Thursday night to see what they’ve learned! Make sure you bring money for ice cream!

Some of the 6th grade band students got to perform for Farley and Dyersville 4th graders today & answer their questions about joining band next year in 5th grade. Go Band 🎺

A couple of Drexler students joined the High School Big Band for Jazz Night.

7th and 8th graders have been working hard at band camp this week! Concert tonight at 7:00 on the high school practice fields. Free ice cream to follow!

6th grade band students (& some 8th grade helpers) finished up their recruitment tour today! They had so much fun playing for Dyersville, Farley, Peosta, and Epworth 4th graders! Go WD Band 🐾🎺

Recruitment is underway! Dyersville 4th grade students got to listen to middle school band students play and talk about band last week. They got to try out instruments today! We cannot wait for them to join the WD band!

Any 5-8 students interested in participating in the Color Guard at the WDHS basketball game on Feb 1 should sign up for rehearsals here:

Junior Bobcat Color Guard Registration Open to grades 5-8. Rehearsals on January 24 and January 31 at Drexler from 3:30-4:30. Rehearsal at 7:00 p.m. at WDHS on February 1 and performance that night around 8:00 p.m.
