Important Information/Terms & Conditions

Please read the following carefully before placing your order and making enquiries �

Please ensure you include as much information in your initial enquiry such as da

tes, cake size/portions required, design, colour scheme, cake flavour etc. I am a fully registered home-based cake maker with a level 2 certificate in Food Safety & Hygiene, and a certificate in regard to allergen awareness. I hold a 5 star Food Safety rating from TMBC. All quotations are valid for 7 days and any orders placed after expiry will need to be re-quoted. All cake orders require a minimum 14 days notice although late orders can be accepted at my discretion. Your order is only secured after confirmation of booking fee monies received and dates will not be held without payment. The booking fee is usually 50% of the total price quoted. Booking fee payments are accepted via direct bank transfer or cash, and remaining payment accepted as cash on collection at my discretion, or bank transfer cleared funds 14 days before collection. I will send a message which then acts as your receipt and your order is then fully confirmed. I do reserve the right to ask for payment in advance depending on the cake ordered but this will be discussed at the time of your request. In the event of cancellation by the customer, all booking fee monies are non-refundable. If any unforseen circumstances arise and I am unable to meet your order, and I have to cancel your booking for any reason, all monies paid will be refunded and I will endeavour to help you find a replacement cake maker where possible. Any changes to your order must be in writing and no less than 14 days prior. This may incur an additional charge depending on the level of change. Collection date changes are not accepted unless extreme circumstances arise and are also subject to availability. Please ensure that the date you book is the collection date you need so I can book your order in correctly. Collection days are Monday-Friday 9.30am-7pm and Saturday 9.30am-12pm. Delivery service is available at an extra cost, please ensure this is stated on your enquiry/order as this cannot be added once your order is confirmed. You will receive a final confirmation of your order 3-5 days before and it will be at this point the time of collection will be arranged. I will always endeavour to accommodate your preferred time; this isn't always possible so flexibility is politely asked for. As there may be other orders leaving on the same day I also politely ask that you keep to your collection time agreed. As with all baked goods there is a recommended consumption time of 48 hours on cakes/cupcakes. Fondant covered cakes are recommended to be eaten no later than 72 hours from collection to ensure they are at their best. Specific dietary requirements should be discussed at the time of your initial request and confirmed when your order is finalised. As an example your cake may contain gluten, milk, eggs, soya, nut traces etc which can cause allergic reactions. Lunsford Cakes will not be held responsible for any reaction to third party consumers. IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY AS THE PURCHASER TO ENSURE YOUR GUESTS ARE INFORMED CORRECTLY. An individual list of allergens can be provided on request. Once your order is collected it is transported at your own risk. Please ensure you have a flat area in your vehicle as I accept no liability for any damage caused due to incorrect transport/storage. In the unlikely event you have a complaint with your order then it must be raised within 24 hours of the collection time. A minimum of 75% of your order must be returned to me within that time. If your complaint is deemed to be reasonable I am happy to work with you towards a satisfactory outcome for both parties. I reserve the right to consult an independent third party for an unbiased opinion if required. This information is subject to change. Now I don’t normally do fruit cake, but occasionally I make an exception. This cake was a light fruit cake, which tasted fabulous even if I do say so myself, and the other tier was a victoria sponge. The couple had red flowers on their original wedding cake, hence why this one has red roses, even though its a 50th anniversary which would traditionally have gold decor. Xx

Beautiful cake for Bonnie and Henry to celebrate their wedding yesterday. Absolutely stunning venue, Bilsington Priory Weddings in Kent.

Bottom tier was chocolate, middle tier was chocolate, top tier was…… Victoria sponge with raspberry jam and buttercream. Also supplied 12 gluten-free chocolate cupcakes with chocolate buttercream and a fondant topper in the same stencilled style as the cake.

IMPORTANT UPDATE!

I have been having issues with Messenger on the business page for quite some time. Some messages come through, and I get notified. Other messages come through with no notification at all, and some messages just dont make it to the in-box. I have tried the usual IT solutions (uninstalling & reinstalling Business Suite, doing the same with Messenger, thumping it, swearing, etc etc). FB have been particularly unhelpful in resolving the issue.

So, if I dont respond within 24 hours to your message, please can you pop a post on this page asking me to contact you, while I seek a solution to the problem.

Something unusual happened today. I got to eat some of a wedding cake I made!!!!! Bottom layer was chocolate, middle was lemon, and top layer was Victoria sponge. Delivered safely to the venue, and then had a very pleasant afternoon and evening with the lovely couple, their family, and friends.
