"Hey!! Absolutely amazing! She is a completely different dog. The control we now have with her is crazy. She is so much calmer in general, usually of an evening she would get really hyper and howl for ages and we could never stop it - she hasn’t done that once since your visit! Josh has 100% nailed the alpha bond with her, I definitely still have a little more to go, think it comes down to being a woman and not being able to be as deep with my commands but hoping that’ll get better 🤣 its only been a week and the progress is crazy. With her walking again its remarkable, constant walking at the side of us no tension on the lead and we are able to get her into a sit at any point which would have been impossible before! She used to go mad at dogs in windows but now as soon as we feel her focus drift, put her into place and she does not react! She seems so much happier, calmer and now its all down to us to continue it all. Thank you so much again!! 🥰"

When you buy a dog, you have a responsibility!

It does not matter whether that is the perfect dog for you or the very worst, it’s your responsibility to do right by the dog!

If you are in way over your head, you have 2 choices;

1. Do right by the dog and find someone who can give that dog what it needs from life, as quickly and early as possible!

Or

2. Step up! Go find help, rearrange your life, learn how to cope with what’s in front of you and train your little heart out! Make that dog what he deserves to be!

There is absolutely no shame in either, but just doing nothing is never an option!

Trainers would rather help you to keep that dog and do well with it, we do enough rehoming and rehabilitation of dogs that haven’t done well where they are! So go find someone who will help you!

With the growing trend of working line dogs in pet homes, more and more people are in over their heads.
- Do your research BEFORE you start shopping for that puppy!
- Understand that there’s a good chance that you’re not gonna take up ultramarathons to walk the dog if you currently can’t even run a bath!
- Remember that genetic traits are ALWAYS going to be in a dog, the level just varies!
- Remember that kids/cats/birds can be a huge challenge for a dog and can cause problems!
- Remember there are no overnight fixes, if you have a problem, it will take time to correct, so don’t wait until you’re at break point!

During the past 18 months or so many people have gone out and purchased puppies. Good on you for giving a dog a good home! Many are first time dog owners and when your ‘fur baby’ starts to leave his puppy phase of life behind and enter the juvenile period of his development then we start to see real issues. A dog that has no boundaries or rules in their life can sometimes be a very unhappy animal! We must always remember that your canine is not human and as such should not be treated like one!
I advocate starting training at 10 weeks and maintaining some form of continual training for the rest of its life.
If you are having any issues, at all, with your canine then please don’t hesitate to get in touch and I will arrange to train you, and your pooch, so you both have a better life together.
