Shun Takahata lives an ordinary life, but one day, when he and his classmates are forced to play a life-and-death game, everything changes. The deadly games begin and they don’t have any clue who is behind them. Shun tackles multiple challenges and loses his close ones along the way but not everyone is cut out to be one of God’s Children.

I stumbled upon this film in an article, and it showed a little clip from the first ten minutes of the movie. It looked absolutely insane and had one of the highest body counts I’ve seen in a film all in the matter of two minutes. This made me instantly add it to my watchlist hoping to find it cheap or streaming somewhere one day. The day finally came, and I managed to grab the subtitled version instead of the dubbed as one should for $5. I decided to give it a watch yesterday thinking it was going to be wild, but it surpassed that. I can easily say I’ve never seen a film like this. It has its influences like “Cube” and “Escape Room” but they didn’t have individual gods that were introduced each round. This film in many ways is weird, confusing, intense, and fun and I ended up liking it. I can’t say I know what the hell I just watched but I can say that if America remade this film it would be a nightmare. This is an experience like no other and I suggest looking into this one even if its just the trailer.
