My little girl has a roll when she sits. She pokes at it sometime while comparing it to bread dough and laughs. She is such a happy child who loves fashion, and loves to pick up her own outfits, without a worry in the world. I pray she stays like this while growing up and the weight loss/ air brushed hollywood industry does not get to her. I pray we all realize how little importance the roll has in our happiness, family relationship, intimate relationships.
Weight gain or loss is normal as we go through life - we are not plastic mannequins. For sure the majority of our partners gained weight at one point or another and we did not love them less. We desperately need to show ourselves the same grace and understanding instead of constantly frowning at our hips and tearing ourselves down.
Today, to celebrate this warm weather, I hope you will buy that cute dress that hugs all your curves that you wouldn't usually. Do something for yourself that shows YOU love.
