Sadly, so far this year, 13 kids have died in hot cars โ 8 within the first half of July.
โ Never leave a child in a car alone.
๐๏ธ Always check the back seat.
๐ Lock unattended vehicle doors and keep keys out of reach.
Remember โ Once You Park, Stop. ๐ Look. ๐๏ธ Lock. ๐
When a child is left in a vehicle, their temperature can rise quickly โ and the situation can become dangerous.
Once You Park, Stop. ๐ Look. ๐๏ธ Lock. ๐
Take steps to prevent accidentally leaving your child alone in a hot car. Put a stuffed animal โ like a teddy bear ๐งธ โ on your front seat to remind yourself to ALWAYS check the back. ๐ถโ๏ธ
๐ฅ๐ถ This summer's hot temperatures can also affect your pets!
Never leave pets in a hot vehicle. Even with the windows cracked open, the car's interior temperatures can quickly soar.

Notes for National Selfie Day ๐ท
Inappropriate places to take a selfie:
โฐ๏ธ On a cliff
๐ฆ Next to a shark
๐ Behind the wheel!
It doesn't matter if it's cloudy โ
, your car window is cracked open ๐, or you're parked in the shade โ none of these things protect a child left inside. ๐ถ
Never leave your child alone in a car โ not even for a minute.
In the heat of summer, we focus on the temperature and degrees measured by the Fahrenheit scale, when really, the most important degrees are the 180 degrees it takes to check the back seat.
