🎉'DATA DIVINATION' competition was organized by Websters- Computer Science society of Shivaji College on the 20th of April. It was a data science event and was part of Techelons 2022💫, the annual departmental fest. Techelons events are organized every year that provide opportunities for students to showcase their talent and have fun learning. The event attracted more than 150 individual participants. This competition was a one-round round competition in which the participants were given 5 questions and one dataset to solve these questions. The top 2 participants who solved the question correctly in a lesser amount of time were declared winners. All the teams played very well with full enthusiasm.

Websters society is very grateful to our teachers for providing their valuable time and advice, volunteers, and organizers for their cooperation.

'GOOGLER' - online competition was organized by Websters - Computer Science Society of Shivaji College on 20th April. This event was the part of Techelons 2022💫, the annual departmental fest. In this Event , The students were given some questions which they have to search on any search engine and answer them in a given frame of time. There were about 60 questions of various kinds like technology , history , bollywood and many more. They have to answer all of them correctly in 45 minutes. The event was exciting and much anticipated.
Websters society is very grateful to our teachers for providing their valuable time and advice , volunteers and organisers for their cooperation. A big congratulations to the winners and thanks to all the participants for their Participation.

🎉'QUIZOPHILE' - online quiz competition was organized by Websters- Computer Science society of Shivaji College on 19th and 20th of April. The theme of the event was "IT and Brands". This two day event was part of Techelons 2022💫, the annual departmental fest.Techelons events are organized every year that provide opportunities to students to showcase their talent and have fun learning. The event consisted of two rounds - Prelims and Finals.The event attracted more than 110 teams(of two students) that competed in dare2complete challenge of Prelims round . This round had 25 questions to be solved in 15 minutes. Top 6 teams were selected for the finals organizedon zoom platform. Finals consisted of 5 rounds, The logo round,Indian Startups round, Audio-visual round, Guess the Company round and buzzer round. All the teams played very well with full enthusiasm. There were questions for the audience too and audience also participated with full joy. The quiz reached at a very exciting level in round 5 where the team that gave the answer first got the points. Team Quizengers won the finals with 40 points. Runner up team Death riders 2.0 also played very well and got 35 points.

Inaugural ceremony of Techelons’2022 🔥🔥
The event started with the blessings of saraswati vandana💫💫 and then our Guest Speaker Mr. Amit Kumar(director-customer experience) at orange business solutions APAC,(Alumus of Shivaji College) graced the event and presented very insightful thoughts on "cyber security"🎮
Audience's queries were answered briefly by sir and overall it was a very insightful discussion.

Techno headsUp is a competition where we are hosting modified dumb charades,In which all the words are related to field of Computer science and your partner has to guess that In a definite amount of time.

🎀Rules of the game:
1. It will be a Team event and each team consists of 2 members.
2. You can use actions/hints/phrases to explain to make your partner guess the word.
3. You can’t tell the word or spell the word.
4. 3 guesses are allowed for each word.
5. 1 minute will be given to guess each word.
6. You can use dictionary for once for a player.
7. One team will solve 1 set of 10 questions (5 questions for each partner)

Googler is a competition that tests your googling abilities. A set of questions will be provided to you through Google forms and you have to answer those questions using search engines like Google.

🕚Date & Time:- 20th April,2022(12 Noon onwards)

🎯Eligibility- UG Students
🏆Prizes upto Rs 3000.

🔴Rules👇:-

1. A set of questions will be provided to you through Google forms on the provided email given by participant at the time of registration.
2. You’ll be given 45 minutes to answer every question on the form.
3. Winners will be evaluated on the basis of the number of correct answers and the number of
questions answered.
4. The participants are allowed to use any search engine
5. Please make sure that you submit your form in the given time period or your submission will not
be considered.
6. In case of a tie in number of correct answer we will take time in consideration so try to answer as much answers as possible.
There will be no negative marking for a wrong answer.

Individual Participation

1. A dataset will be provided to the participants in CSV files.

2. You will be required to solve the question within a given time.

3. Winners will be evaluated based on the accuracy of their solutions.

4. You can use various techniques to solve questions- like data cleaning (for eg. filling null values with mean), data visualization, etc.

5. You have to submit your Jupyter notebook on the dare2compete submission window.

6. Please ensure that all your work like visualization, and data cleaning is present in the Jupyter notebook.

7. If in case of any tie, participants will be evaluated on their presentation of the Jupyter notebook and the time taken to solve questions.

Data analysis is important in research because it makes studying data a lot simpler and more accurate. It helps the researchers straightforwardly interpret the data so that researchers don't leave anything out that could help them derive insights from it.

Websters-The Computer science society of Shivaji College organized a two day workshop on "DATA SCIENCE" and "BIG DATA ANALYTICS " , where our guest speaker Er. Kamal Kumar Ranga (HES)
Assistant Professor Department of Computer Science in Government college Bahadurgarh,Department of higher education Haryana gave insightful sessions and made learners familiar with the concepts of machine learning, Artificial intelligence, R programming and many other data analysis tools and platforms such as Rstudio and Google Colab .

The workshop was very informative and helpful, it helped enhancing the skills and learners got to explore the data science domain of the Computer Science feild and made them curious about the data all around them , how they can grasp and interpret meaningful insights from it.

WEBSTERS-The Computer science society of Shivaji College, University of Delhi organized its first offline workshop on "BIG SCIENCE" and "BIG DATA ANALYTICS" , by Er. Kamal Kumar Ranga(HES). WEBSTERS organized it’s two day work shop on “COMPUTER VISION” from 21st to 22nd April 2021
DAY-2(22-04-2021)-
Guest speaker Mr Sameer Nigam introduced students to various libraries and technologies used in machine learning field like tensor flow,numpy,keras library and neural network.Participants got to know about the uses of mathematics and statistics in these fields.Guest speaker demonstrated these concepts through a hands on project- “HAND WRITTEN RECOGNITION”.Whole session was very engaging and interactive and he was kind enough to take every query of students and solved them right away.Towards the end of the workshop students were enlightened about the scope of various career fields in machine learning and he also revealed his secrets of mastery over the field.

👉With an objective to acquaint the students with knowledge of “AI”,WEBSTERS-THE CS DEPARTMENT OF SHIVAJI COLLEGE has organized a “two day workshop” on the topic-”THE COMPUTER VISION” for students in virtual mode
DAY-1(21-04-2021)-
Mr Sameer Nigam,Chief Machine Learning Trainer at AISOCIETY introduced students to “COMPUTER VISION” and covered thoroughly from its uses,working to challenges faced as an AI developer.Today’s session was very engaging,students took deep interest and made the session interactive throughout.Guest speaker guided students about the various career paths in the field of AI AND MACHINE LEARNING.
Moreover he even educated about fraudulent practices by various developers,and advised students to use the technology for the betterment of the society.
A Hands-on project on “pattern matching” was conducted at the end.Instructor explained each line of code,and gave an idea of what students can expect going further.Doubt clearing session
towards the end marked the conclusion of DAY-1 of the workshop
