To all sponsors and followers, regrettably due to financial constraints I won’t be riding the AKR Thomas Bourne 600.

Unfortunately due to an issue with the Aprillas shock which is away getting sorted I won’t be racing at this weekends Ulster Superbike event at Kirkistown.

I will be around the paddock assisting teams and watching the action .

Late Race Report (sums up the weekend)
An all seasons in one weekend USBK Mid Antrim 150 Neil & Donny Robinson Memorial Race at Bishopscourt.

Sat reduced to Race 1 Wet Wet Wet on the AKR Thomas Bourne Racing CBR600 retired as no visibility.
- on the Supertwin a P4

Sun : AKR Thomas Bourne CBR600 just was feeling right on the bike this weekend could feel difference in back end didn’t have the pace.

Supertwin : Feeling great on Aprillia660 mega riding this weekend. Race 1 a hard fought P4 and ending the weekend Race 2 on the podium with a hard fought P3 after leading the race for first few laps.

Returning to track 5th August to the Classic Bike Festival see you there

Wet 🏁🏁

A blistering heated ‘Big3Series’ at Kirkistown on Saturday run by Belfast & District Motor Club saw me compete in Supersport Pro on the AKR Thomas Bourne Racing CBR and the Supertwins on the Aprillia.
Supersport Pro saw a P9 & P8 still working to get comfortable on the CBR will take time. Times down to 58s.
Supertwins came away with P4 in both races. Second race was a race long battle for last podium spot. Enjoyed it🏁 Few issues to work on with the bike ready for July. Happy with the 59s .
Fantastic Days Racing in absolute mint conditions for slicks. Well run meet, shout out to all the Marshalls and Photographers in that heat legends.

After the fall at Bishopscourt, the RS660 was back on track at Kirkistown track days. Many thanks to 3D Moto for the help and advice and DMT Motorcycle Transport for the quick pick up and delivery.Ready for next USBK round .

USBK Easter Weekend of Short Circuit Meets provided a mix of action and weather.

Sat@Bishopscourt in sunny, dry, cold conditions
Qualified P12 on the AKR Thomas Bourne Racing CBR 600 in Supersport Pro with a lot of talent on the grid.
Qualified P5 on the Aprillia 660(1st outing) in the Supertwins
Race 1 was Supertwins with a great start was behind the leader pushing but that’s as far as I got cool tyres and no warning highsided and that was end of Aprillia for the weekend.
Dusted myself off mentally and physically and after lunch headed onto grid for Supersport Pro.
Race 1 managed a decent P13
Race 2 called off due to red flags and track conditions.

Mon@Kirkistown in Sunny, Torrential Hail and cold weather.
Qualified P13 on AKR Thomas Bourne CBR600 in Supersport Pro with a wet front. Track was a toss up on tyres most of the day.
Race 1 a slippy P11
Race 2 P10
Happy to have finished the day in top 10 with skilled and talented riders, a lot more to come.

Introducing Scott McCory, who will be one of our riders this year.

After jumping on to the AKR Thomas Bourne Racing, Honda CBR 600 RR in the later stages of last season, we have the greatest pleasure in announcing that Scott will be riding with the team in 2023.

The sheer delight on Scott’s face when he came back into the pits, when he first took out the bike was a joy for the team, as he said “he felt like he was flying”, it looked like it at times too!

Scott shows the passion, commitment, and fabulous work ethic to take him far in the sport. In 2018 at 15 Scott made his debut on short circuits on a Kawasaki 300 achieving a 3rd. A further 9 podiums followed, and he was awarded the Davy Wood Scholarship
In 2019 a further 21 podiums competing in the USBK and the Dunlop Masters, even during the Covid years this young rider sought out championships, competing in Thundersport within England for 4 rounds, achieving 2 podiums.
Scott competed in 2021 in the Dunlop Masters Supersport Cup as one of the youngest riders, from 9 starts he was on the podium 8 times and finished 3rd in the championship.
This last year Scott moved to the Dunlop Masters Supersport Pro completing his season with a podium. Not content with waiting for 2023 season Scott competed in the Sunflower, racing with legends and BSB riders to enhance his experience.
Racing is Scott’s Passion, he’s doing what he loves and doing it well.

A statement from the team “having Scott on board for 2023 is what the team is all about, giving talented youngster the equipment to show what they can do on the track and we are looking forward to seeing Scott develop over the coming year”.
