“Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life?” -Luke 12:25

When we fly on an airplane we trust the pilot we don’t know. When we sail on a boat we trust the captain, a stranger we haven’t met.

So why are we worried about anything in our life knowing that God is our master who made sure everything will be alright?

My friends let us relax. Know that our Father is in control. Have a blessed day!

"It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him a helper fit for him" (Gen 2:18).

The creation of woman is thus marked from the outset by the principle of help: a help which is not one-sided but mutual. Woman complements man, just as man complements woman: men and women are complementary. Womanhood expresses the "human" as much as manhood does, but in a different and complementary way.

When the Book of Genesis speaks of "help", it is not referring merely to acting, but also to being. Womanhood and manhood are complementary not only from the physical and psychological points of view, but also from the ontological. It is only through the duality of the "masculine" and the "feminine" that the "human" finds full realization.

Letter to Woman, June 1995 by Pope St. John Paul II

God's love for humanity is so great that He gives the Church the vigor and dynamism for the mission. From the early years of Christianity until today, equipped with the power of the Holy Spirit, missionaries have been sent to the different corners of the world to be beacons of light. Let us know the stories of lay missionaries who have answered the call of the Lord for the mission. Join us tomorrow, May 28, 2021, at 6:30 PM (Manila time).

“I have seen the Lord. I can't keep it to myself. I'll testify that He's alive. What a glorious news to tell, My Savior lives.”

The Lord is my strength, and my praise, and he is become my salvation.

On this day Christ is in the tomb. There is no daytime Mass and the faithful often continue their fast from Good Friday to this day.

The Catechism of the Catholic Church calls Jesus' descent into the realm of the dead "the last phase of Jesus' messianic mission," during which he "opened heaven's gates for the just who had gone before him."

02/04/2021

This is the day of the crucifixion, the day Jesus died for the sins of the world.

The parish altar looks hugely different: it is plain and bare. The candle by the tabernacle is blown out, no consecrated hosts on the tabernacle, and its doors are left open to show that it is empty. This is quite dramatic, reminding us that Good Friday is a solemn day of mourning and prayer.

The ceremony on Good Friday that takes place at 3 p.m., is the continuation of Holy Thursday—a communion service using the consecrated hosts from yesterday.

The Veneration of the Cross takes place at this service, in which the priest and the faithful kneel before a cross and kiss it.
