Holy crap this stuff is amazing. Followed the cleaning steps and did a full coolant change. Machine looks brand new with no oily residue anywhere!!
Broke one of my wooden 7/8” plugs so I made these on the TL1 out of some 6AL-4V.
Switched my little Pi desktop over to a 4GB so I took the ICE tower over to the shop & used some 0000 steel wool to polish up the copper heat pipe, removing the paint. Also used some on there & fixed the mounting.
Pretty accurate.
Pretty happy with how the all got set up on my . to 1.9GHz, running at 4Kp60 on my second TV for watching the lathe, my network management & other stuff.
Decided to upgrade one of my Pi4’s with a new CPU cooler. Overclocked to 1.8GHz and installed . Driving a 4kp60 TV for displaying grafana and librenms.

Did some laying out of the electrical for the bandsaw project today in .
Starting to layout the wiring for the bandsaw project. 3 phase contactor, DIN rail, mean well 5V PSU and a raspberry pi zero.
Tested the VFD with the motor and pulley setup today. Not sure why the bigger pulley is so wobbly but I’ll have to check it out tomorrow. VFD and motor work great!

Been a while since I posted an update on our HF bandsaw project. Made some progress finally. Started putting everything together. Had to made a new tensioner since it was lost. Mounted the new pulleys and 3HP 3PH motor. Installed the TiAlN coated HSS 8-12tpi blade. Just need to finish fabbing the motor mount and do the electric.
Lasered up this glass side panel for .0 for his case. Can’t wait to see it lit up.
Trying out a hex S at the house. So far speeds are way better than our old Apple airport AC. Still using the airport as a bridged AP for now but having this do the routing is way faster. Also was able to set up two L2L IKEv2 ’s back to HQ. Liking it a lot for the price. Maybe video soon!
Running some stability tests and on to the memory. Need to tighten up the timings and find the sweet spot.
