September Recap⏳

I attended the "Caribbean Forum on Population and Development: accelerating the implementation of the Montevideo Consensus on Population and Development in the Caribbean" hosted by the UNFPA and the ECLAC. During the event, I served as a supporting MC and speaker on Session 7: "A Conversation About Ensuring Rights for All: Montevideo Consensus".

I also joined Regis Burton and alumni of the All Saints Secondary School in making a financial donation to my alma mater💜 to support their 60th Anniversary Celebrations.

On Africa-CARICOM Day 2023, I participated in a panel discussion titled "Youth and Reparations" hosted by the Antigua and Barbuda Reparations Support Commission.

I also participated in the UNICEF CARICOM: Caribbean Community Regional Validation Workshop on the role of the Education Sector to Prevent and Respond to Violence Against Women and Girls and Violence Against Children held on September 20-21, 2023, in Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago. FT my mom collecting my Honour Roll award🎉🎉.

Lastly, to end the month, I supported The UWI Five Islands Campus 75th Anniversary Cross Campus T20 Match🏏 and our UWIFIC football team⚽.

I feel incredibly fortunate to have been chosen to represent Antigua and Barbuda at the OAS CICAD 2nd Caribbean Youth Forum on Drug Use Prevention held in the Bahamas. The event united 52 phenomenal young people from 13 Caribbean nations to brainstorm innovative solutions for addressing drug use among our peers. It was an absolute privilege to have the opportunity to engage and learn from such exceptional leaders and facilitators.

On Wednesday, April 26, 2023, we launched the Sani-bins Pilot initiative through the Menstrual Project at the Villa Primary School in partnership with the AKHIMO Group Inc. These bins are designed explicitly for the safe disposal of sanitary napkins.

On September 29th, members of the National Youth Parliament Association of Antigua and Barbuda, All Saints East and St. Luke constituency visited the C.T Samuel Primary school and presented on three important topics. Namely, Presentation, Punctuality and Preparedness.

This initiative was done to motivate the student and also an opportunity for the constituency member to advance their planning and public speaking skills. The speakers include Celine Edwards,Danella Bartlette, Sheldon Gibson and Daniel Soanes.

They did a phenomenal job❣️🥳

I am grateful to be one of the Halo Hero Humanitarian Award recipients.

For years I have dedicated my life to assisting others, building my community and serving many non-governmental organizations and clubs without earning a single paycheck. Although there aren't many materialistic benefits from doing this, the joy and relief on families and individuals' faces always motivate me to continue and work harder. If you know you can help somebody, shut ya eye and do um!

Further, this award is a testament to the power of believing in yourself, patience and being humble. I have also admired those who received this award, and now my name is among the greats. Set goals and work towards them. Your time will come.

Thank you to God, my family, individuals who have encouraged me and everyone I have worked with in some shape or form.
