On Tuesday 8th March between 10am and 4pm, Todmorden Town Hall will be open to take donations of urgently needed items for the Ukraine.

I was delighted to liase with local charity, Calderdale Community Cares, to utilise my one use of the courtroom in my Mayoral capacity.
Caroline Beardsmore of CCC is working with Brighouse based charity, Focus4Hope, to collect aid for the
Emergency Appeal.

This appeal was set up by the Association of Ukrainians in Great Britain (AUGB), to provide accredited and registered Ukrainian charities with aid including, medicine, food and vital services.

Items urgently needed now are
baby and children’s clothes
nappies
baby wipes
baby milk
footwear
hygiene products
men and women’s clothing
non-perishable foods such as tinned items, pasta, rice and UHT milk.

If you are able to donate any of these items, you are invited to bring them to the Town Hall on Tuesday 8th March between 10am and 4pm

No donation will be too small and every donation will be very gratefully received.

Would like to wish all our acquaintances, customers and friends a very happy Christmas.

I've spent this last year with some awesome causes and met some absolutely amazing people!!!

Every single one of them are trying to do better for OUR community.

I hope that 2022 brings lots of togetherness and support for causes that we support.

But mostly I wanted to say a HUMONGOUS THANKYOU to every single person that has supported any cause I've fetched to your attention.

Yesterday I donated
2 pork loins
2 turkeys
2 joints of beef
Lots of carrots
Parsnips & sprouts to a man I've met along the way since I started my journey as Community Champion Todmorden Morrisons I now class him as a dear friend and each day he goes above and beyond for the community.
This year and last he will spend his Christmas day and the run up, feeding hundreds of homeless people a Christmas dinner. The preparation, the cooking and the serving will be done by himself and his band of merry men & women of course. (Santa hats off to all of you)

He's an amazing person and I'm proud to call him my friend..... if there's one thing you need to do this Christmas it's .
