A Rebellious 'E' Key: A ThinkPad Tale💫

This ThinkPad 💻was bought in 2019. Its black color was gorgeous and stunning. The author was happy to have it and since then she has written 4 novels 📚and counting.

Unfortunately, in the middle of last year, without warning, the 'E' key on the keyboard decided to rebel against the author. It sneered 😏and removed its key.

Since the author ignored the warning, it gave a final ultimatum: it decided to give out today, on her wedding anniversary 🎎and just as she was writing answers for an interview with a literary magazine. All sentences containing the letter 'e' became gibberish words, like these: 'gsturs manings dfating writr's block

Feeling annoyed😫, the author plans to find someone who can fix the keyboard. Alternatively, she might even consider pretending to be a ten-year-old girl and sending a letter📩 to Santa🎅🤶, asking for a ThinkPad 💻as her Christmas present🎁.

Last week, I went around Anaheim and saw a small used bookstore there. Look what I got 😍.

* China Rich Girlfriend: I already read the first and second of the series, so I thought I should read the 3rd ☺️

*Dumpling day: it's a children's book but I am curious about that.

*In the Palms of Your Hands; My husband likes reading poetry books 😅and was interested in buying the book. The author had a peculiar background,which I also found interesting in reading it.

*Fictionally Fabulous: The book brought back a good memory from a long time ago, when my friend taught me to draw fashion dresses. My drawing skills are already rusty, but I don't mind learning again from an expert.

This is my first attempt at sketching, and the image is from 'Fictitiously Fabulous' by Anne Keenan Higgins.

My name is Kana Wu (not Kanawu because Wu is my last name 😉), and I'm a published author who has written three novels📚. My novels fall under the categories of sweet romance and women's fiction.

And BTW, my new novella, 'She Calls Her Mom,' is set to be published on June 5th, 2023 (I'm so excited about that!💃).

I was born 👶in one of the Southeast Asian countries. I'm an introvert and enjoy working behind the scenes🧑‍💻, which is why I previously worked as a credit analyst and later as an accountant before deciding to pursue writing.

I love taking pictures📸, but I don't like having my picture taken. I am fond of animals, particularly dogs🐶, and horses🐴 (although I don't have one 😅). I grew up with cats😺, so I'm also comfortable around felines (hi 👋).

When it comes to colors, I prefer pastel shades, especially blue🩵 and light purple💜.

I enjoy reading various genres, including manga. My favorites are mystery 🕵️and romantic comedies💞.

My CRs📚 are "Where the Crawdads Sing" and "Strange Bedpersons" (I tend to read more than one book🤷🏻‍♀️).

I love chocolate 🍫and ice cream🍨. I also enjoy cycling, hiking, and spending time with my husband 👩‍❤️‍👨 and friends when I'm not writing or reading.

is here! The weather is getting warmer now and yesterday, I stopped at a Korean ice cream shaving place and ordered watermelon bingsu. It was tasty and refreshing 😋. The best part was I shared it with my better half. 😍

But, what is bingsu anyway?

Okay this is what I found from Wikipedia:

Bingsu (Korean: 빙수; Hanja: 氷水), sometimes written as bingsoo, is a milk-based Korean shaved ice dessert with sweet toppings that may include chopped fruit, condensed milk, fruit syrup, and red beans.
