WE BE LOVE!

To some, they might think of Love,
An emotion, not a word!
Yet others never to experience it,
Or its very seldom heard.

Like a passionate yet stale love potion,
Or withered flower we keep.
A promise that is broken,
One should watch the words we speak.

Do we see Love in its entirety?
Or is it just a form of pleasure.
An act we hardly see,
Or a self seeking endeavor?

If we really want to understand,
How Love is supposed to be,
Read the Book of 1Corinthians,
In the chapter of 13.

Patience, kindness, truth and trust,
As well as to persevere.
It doesn't boast or envy,
And It does not live in fear.

With LOVE there is no transgression,
No angry rages,
But has an honest impression.
And even has its stages.

We can show Love, Or we can make Love,
I believe we can seek Love!
That is because Like JESUS,
We can actually BE LOVE!!

Slaying The Giant

the mountain may be high and seem like an impossible climb! It's one step at a time and "Any" mountain can be climbed. Patience and perseverence will guide each step and your journey may seem long at first but half way up that mountain you will look up and it will seem like half the climb. 3/4 of the way up you will glance once again and it will seem like a mole hill. So make your mountain into a mole hill instead of a mountain out of a mole hill!

Slaying The Giant
The mountain may seem high to climb but its only possible 1 step at a time.
With patience and perseverence it can be topped.
Just get half way and you can't be stopped.
If you reach 3/4 then you've got the will.
You've just turned that Mountain into a mole hill!

Release Date

Darkness was all I could see
Damp and cold air
Was all I had to breathe!
My grip around cold iron bars
Wrapping my hands tightly,
Trying one last attempt to spread them apart,
So that once again I might be freed.

No sooner did a voice come from the distance.
Soft and gentle, full of Grace and sincerity.
“You can stand down now guard!,
Not one of these prisoners is now your responsibility!”
Then I heard that voice so familiar, raspy and rough,
“Who are you to say this to me?”

“If you haven't heard yet my friend,
I have purchased these captives with all authority,
Even you yourself have been given freedom,
For the rest of eternity!
I'm not here to argue, not here to accuse,
It's a gift for the taking, Look for yourself! I even hold the keys!”

Level Up Love

Now It's time for a journey!
Where you will find perfect fruit!
Where the apples are golden delicious,
And fresh oranges to boot!
It's a gift of the Spirit,
Freely given to all,
Who give of themselves
Without condition, asking for nothing as well.
It seems unbelievable
That someone could live life so pure.
But as history would serve us,
I know of one man for sure.
He showed the world HE was able
To give and ask none.
I pay my respect to HIM daily!
JESUS CHRIST GODS OWN SON!
There was a time that I judged HIM, By the ere of man's ways.
I have become much the wiser now,
I have cleared out the haze.
It was time that I took responsibility
For my own mistakes.
And allowed this LOVE to take center stage.
I now seek HIS council as to how HIS Love can be shown
Although I don't feel all that worthy to wear HIS shoes at this time.
He has assured me that I can do this while wearing my own.
With this LOVE come certain characters
That we should practice every day
Like the act of being selfless, Humble and patient and to watch what we say!
I wonder how powerful this LOVE would be
if It were combined with the sexual and made Perfect and free! I do know it's possible
Because it is recorded in history!
Selah! Shalom! And now we know the rest of the story!!

DNA

In this family I reside
Blessed and given mercy
From that which I chose to hide!
Heir to HIS promise
The good things that will come
For it is HIS WORD, HE cannot lie!
This blood transfusion
Has restored my soul, my heart
This new DNA is my new reason why!
The old is passed away,
Restoration has been made
I now have so much gratitude
For this new family pride
GODS’ grace falls like rain
Cleansing my very being,
Changing who I am inside!
SELAH! SHALOM!

Devil in the 9th

There's one thing I can say is true
it's "the devil will try all he can to hurt you".
yet if you can withstand all his tests
you are assured he will lose.

Here's an example of how I won at games end,
it was 3-2 for me,
yet the devil to bat they would send
although I was tired and my arm was quite sore.
I had to keep pitching with such a close score.

So with the courage God gave Me
I stepped up to the mound,
The angels began cheering
as they made that trumpet sound.

The first pitch was on fire
and a strike it would be.
It moved so fast
that the devil couldn't even see.

"That was just luck"
he yelled from the plate.
So I gave him a refresher
with the next pitch his fate.

Strike 2 yelled the ump
like the plate was on fire
he bent over to sweep it
and now I have that burning desire.

The Angels were cheering so loud my ears rang
my Coach came to see me
and asked me to hang
an off speed pitch on the low inside plate.
I gave him the hard stare to show him
I was ready for the devil's fate.


I stepped back up to the mound
and glared the devil eye to eye
He spit a huge luge-e and said.Ok Andrew it's your turn to die.

I turned around and chuckled
then built up my faith .
And with courage and no falter
did I blast that last pitch past the plate,

Strrriiiiiikkkke 3 said the umpire
and The Angels did sing,
for we are the champions
as the game winning pitch I did bring.

Now the devil has learned
that I gave him no power,
to conquer the game against me.
And now his tests have gone sour.

Wasted Words!

When You say The Lord’s Prayer,
Do You Pray from Your heart?
Do You understand completely?
Right from the start?

Did you really mean it,
When You said “Thy Will Be Done”?
Did You ask for His Blessing,
Yet pay Him back none?

When You say “Holy is Thy Name”,
Do You bow in Respect?
Or do You look around aimless
And What He gives, You reject?

For thousands of years
We have said The Lord’s Prayer.
Yet nothing has changed!
Wasted words in the air!

I understand my Perfect Creator
The one thing you would need.
a place that's equal to Your nature,
For You to plant Your seeds.

It would be quite immature
for one to assume a tree would grow,
And bear “great” fruit that has full color
And delicious taste that quality shows.
Without good preparation
And rich soil and conditioned soul.

So, now that I see clearly,
Make this vessel clean.
Help me to work so perfectly,
Like a well maintained machine.
Then I will bear great fruit, and plenty.
I know now what you mean.

I would like to take the time to thank all of those who commented, liked and shared my Poetry this last week. I am so blessed to have such a positive energy group of people that show interest in my work. My book Simplified is half finished and I will be adding 15 or 20 more pieces to my collection in the next few months. As I complete each one, I will be posting it on this page mainly. Some may find its way to other groups and pages but you will be able to read them as they become available. Thank you all so much for your interest and I will try to be more punctual in replying to your inquiries from now on. Once again I am sorry for my tardiness. No excuses will be given :(

one of my better additions to Simplified

Distractions

Blinded by the rays of distraction,
clearing the blood from my hands.
glancing through to the sun on the other side,
I see beauty and rest.
though the pain seems unbearable,
there is so much to gain or too much to lose.
The choice should be simple,
there is a solution to every equation.
Like the numbers on the school room chalkboard,
things are so well put together.
Why then are they so complicated to solve on my own.
Am I my own teacher? Do I have the answer to every one of life's problems. Do I have access, do I seek them diligently? If I never invented the solution, should I automatically know the answer?
Should I just copy them from the chalkboard?
Would it be as beneficial as solving the problem on my own, from my own understanding?
All these distractions come from my wandering mind, My own impressions from a painful past give me conclusions that I never before knew were there to give me rest.
With infinite knowledge at my disposal, my ignorance and arrogance have left me with nothing but scars and bruises. Yet I look now to the chalkboard and find myself in congruence with the final numbers at the end of the equation. Remembering then that I never followed the equation to get there.
It just IS. And from that NOW I AM.

Distractions

Double Vision

Gratitude was slow to wake this morning.
The first thoughts that came to my mind,
were for someone to take warning.
Rubbed my eyes till I was blind,
And continued the scorning.

Did it make my day better,
to breathe fire at a neighbor,
or stand out in cold weather.
There are more things I would favor,
like having coffee together.

Those shoes didn’t fit well,
They must not have been mine.
It was kind of hard to tell,
“Ahh! Wear them anyway, it’ll be fine”.
It’s only one mile to the landmark hotel.

That walk seemed so far and painful,
By the time I made that mile.
Maybe next time I will be more grateful,
I would have been much more worth the while.

I learned there was so much
for which I should be grateful for.
I now use double vision each day
and remember to “never keep score”!
And be careful of the words that I say.

Visualize

If I visualize what I want to see.
Though it may seem far fetched,
it will come to be.

When my sight seems blurry and
Things just don't seem right.
I just turn things inward,
Then I see the light.

You see, it's what comes from within me,
that makes this easy to see.
Because, really it's my visual eyes
at work from inside of me.
