𝒟𝒾𝓈𝑔𝓊𝒾𝓈𝑒𝒹 𝒮𝓊𝒷𝓊𝓇𝒷𝓈, 2018, A Territorial Individuality Project that Focuses on Disguising Revival Style Buildings.
“It can be described as a custom paint job specified for housing that raises questions of the significance of the architectural typologies of these buildings and their efficiency to fulfil the architectural and socio-economic impact the owners want to acquire. (...) Much like how “Projection” from Vincent Lamouroux stands out within the city of Los Angeles, as the context is very busy in terms of color and patterns, the houses of the “Disguised Suburbs” hide in plain sight by the application of colors applied on every element of their contexts."

𝒲𝒶𝓉𝑒𝓇 𝒮𝓉𝓊𝒻𝒻, 2016, Another LA River project.
"French formal gardens were first introduced as an embodiment of control and manipulation of natural resources to satisfy some aesthetic threshold. But what happens if there is no nature left to put into order? Fake nature has somewhat a quality, the artificiality, that allows to create reality and to do so Water Stuff samples the preexisting and superimpose it on itself. It is a garden of all styles and on steroids."

𝟷sᴛ sᴛʀᴇᴇᴛ ᴘʟᴀᴢᴀ, 2018, A Los Angeles River retrofit project.
“Defined in the book “Image of the City” by Kevin Lynch, there are five elements that form the reading and definition of a city. One of the listed elements is the edge, the border. Los Angeles River can be defined as one of the major edges and divisions of the city. The separation of the city caused by the channel, not only affects the urban fabric but also the architectural programs, zones and also inhabitants. Therefore this has not only a geographical impact but more so a cultural one. Today the river itself acts as a neutral zone where almost nothing happens, mostly resembling a buffer zone.
The 𝟷sᴛ sᴛʀᴇᴇᴛ ᴘʟᴀᴢᴀ, unlike its precedents, functions very much like the city itself. There exists an agglomeration of different objects that are not bound to only one purpose. It presents itself as a hybrid between infrastructure, park and shopping mall as well as a river bed.”

“Due to the new vision of cities established via 3D modes of Google Maps, the urban entities get perceived in an equal hierarchy, spread throughout the surface, as the eye jumps from roof to pool and back. Erasing what's in between and flattening the placement of things within the city.”

Los Angeles
“In this project, the pastiche ornaments from the Hollywood vernacular are studied and reworked and reformed to become architectural space rather than embellishments. And by habiting these generally known to be superfluous parts of architecture into mass, this project rethinks the relationship of part to whole and modes of abstraction through the usage of scale, color and misuse.”

🆃🅷🅴 🅺🅸🅽🅶, 2016, from the Cream Series, 2014-ongoing, A Formal Study on the Assembly of Soft and Rigid.
"Building on the idea of connotation according to scale this project, the series of the cream objects, should be seen as a conceptual investigation of architectural parts. The parts of the sculptures can be seen as literal or in terms of a metaphor for assembled elements. It is dealing with combining two or more types of objects and therefore many object qualities arise that need to be considered. Found objects when used in another scale than what they are used to being in, can create a morphological nuance in architecture as well as a metaphorical phenomenon of meaning and relatability of the image known in different disciplines."

Cabinet of curiosities on the concept of Twinning
Contribution to the IARC Show, 2020
“Separated at Birth showcases a cabinet filled with the collection of artifacts within the twin typology focusing on buildings as well as daily life things that carry traits of twin qualities that are thought-provoking and usually perceived to be disparate. This collection brings forth questions about genealogy in architecture as well as the core question on twin buildings, the originality problem, or the lack thereof.”

1̸8̸t̸h̸ S̸t̸r̸e̸e̸t̸ from the Context-Aware Series, 2016, A study on composition and foregrounds.
↘️
"While content can refer to a group of entities that make
a whole, context has two definitions: one focuses on the
relevance of a place, the other on the conditions of it.
Without context, content can not exist. Though, in the
case of an image without a worldly context, objects
depicted in relation to one another can be described
within a morphological context. The artist, therefore,
can build a virtual context within the content through an
analysis of the foreground and background.
Images and compositions, then, do not need a protagonist.
They can exist without differentiation of figure or ground;
all objects can carry the same level of significance.
“Context-Aware” is the exploration of the potentials of
the disguising of the figure and the ground with the help
of everyday content in a simulated realm. In its depiction
of all entities possessing the same hierarchical position,
“Context-Aware” ultimately becomes bound to its visual
heterogeneous homogeneity."
