I have dreaded having to announce this ☹️
Over the last few years of owning my own business, I have met so many amazing people, developed connections, and learned more than I can even convey! This crazy dream of mine that I turned into a reality has brought me so much joy and growth.
But with that being said, owning a small business is hard. I feel like a needed time of change has finally hit me. I’m sure this won’t be the last you see of me in the massage world, I am hoping to find somewhere I can rent daily so that I can still meet with clients one day a month! So be on the lookout for that!
Ok ok, I’ll say it… August is going to be my last month. Mermaid Massage will be closing September 1st.
Due to the fact that this is happening, I will not be taking time off in August and have opened up a lot more availability. If you’re hoping to get in before the closure, please book with me soon because I know August will fill very quickly. If you have a gift card, PLEASE come use it up! If you have booked into September with me, I will be contacting you to cancel any appointments past August 30th.

Hey friends,
I’ve told some of you who’ve been in to see me over the last couple of weeks, but for those who I haven’t seen, here’s the scoop!
In August I will be taking a couple weeks off. I have a job where my energy and vibes are so important in the work I provide. I will be taking this time to focus on why I love what I do, and making sure my mental health is in a place where I can wholeheartedly pour from my cup into yours.
I’ve told some of you who I know love and appreciate my work that I will be around for the most part, and I am happy to pop in and do sessions for these clients, just send me a message! But from August 4th-August 21st, I will not be accepting new clients.
Hopefully this means I will be back and better than ever at the end of the summer! Remember, you can’t do your best if you don’t feel your best. I have only 6 appointments left until I am on break. Message me or book online, and as always, thank you all for being the kind and understanding individuals that you are. I appreciate you. ❤️

It’s time for me to keep it real with you all once again, as I do from time to time 💁🏼‍♀️
Soooo last week I had a real moment of wanting to close my doors. It’s hard to own a business. It’s hard to own a business as a young woman, it’s hard to own a business in the economic times we live in, it’s hard to own a business offering luxury services (ie, something everyone doesn’t depend on!)
I have watched friends my age open their own businesses, decide it wasn’t for them, or it was bad timing, or it was simply just too hard to own a business and do life, and ultimately close down. I’m here to tell you there has been many times I have considered doing the same. There has been months I had to ask for help with rent, be a week (or two) late for rent… hell, I once used my security deposit to cover a month of rent I just literally could not even scrape up out of my couch cushions. I’ve had 40 massages a month, and I’ve had 4. I’ve had days I’m too busy to even take a break between clients, and I’ve had days where I had back to back no shows.
No matter what you do, I can guarantee you’ve had days that you don’t want to do what you do. And I’m no different! But there’s something that keeps me going month to month, and that’s you guys. When I feel like I’m ready to throw in the towel, I get a 5 star review. A shoutout from someone I have literally never met a day in my life who just simply felt compelled to share with their friends that they loved my work or energy. I get a message that for even 60 minutes of a day, I made someone forget their worries and feel good. That’s why I do what I do. That’s why I love what I do!
My business thrives predominantly off of word of mouth and that’s something I appreciate more than I can put into words. For any of the bad I have to deal with, there is infinitely more good. If you’re here, I just want to say thank you for being here. Thank you for supporting my dream. 🫶🏼

Every time I have a new cupping client, I give them the breakdown of what the cups are really doing for your body… but did you know you can also have cupping done on your face?!
Not the same as the bigger, body designed cups, facial cupping involves much smaller cups that can hit on pressure points associated with different areas of the body. Some benefits of facial cupping include brightening of the skin, minimizing the appearance of scars, fine lines or wrinkles, toning your jawline and chin by reducing puffiness…. And most importantly at this time of year, decreasing the symptoms of seasonal allergies! Facial cupping is a perfect add on to any session, and has been described by my clients as feeling like an ‘octopus kiss’ 🐙 💋
