🏞️We celebrate its bipartisan monumental impact on conservation and access to green spaces! Enacted on August 4, 2020, this legislation has been a game-changer for our national parks and public lands, providing crucial funding to enhance and maintain these natural treasures. This exemplifies our collective effort to guarantee everyone access to green spaces.

BREAKING NEWS: Today, the Bureau of Land Management took a big step toward finalizing protections for 28 million acres of public lands in Alaska, saving them from extractive industrial development. Now, we have 30 days to tell federal land managers to finish the job.
Can you thank the Biden Administration for taking this step? And as we look toward a final decision later this summer, can you help us keep the momentum strong for safeguarding these irreplaceable landscapes? These public lands support fish and wildlife, local communities, clean water, healthy habitat, and food security. And they are some of the planet’s largest intact landscapes! LINK IN BIO

Tomorrow is the 118th anniversary of the Antiquities Act 🌲✨

This landmark law protects our nation’s most culturally and historically significant lands — from the Grand Canyon to Stonewall.

Let’s honor its legacy by following the lead of local communities and preserving the stories and places that must be protected now and into the future. In acknowledging the Act’s legacy, we also celebrate the sovereignty and work of Indigenous Tribes to safeguard and the connection to their cultural heritage.

The presentation underscored the coalition’s priority of uplifting community-based organizations that are already doing the work to restore and protect important lands and waters. Achieving our goals of conserving 30% of US lands and water by 2030 will only be possible in collaboration with frontline communities.
