Is your house warm (summer) or cold (winter)? In YYC we deal with 70 deg C temperature extremes. We’ve re-insulated with SilveRboard. Why do we like it? - superior insulation, no nasty CFC’s etc, and can be recycled....

And for context ,the Eames Lounge Chair and ottoman are furnishings made of molded plywood and leather, designed by Charles and Ray Eames for the Herman Miller furniture company. They are officially titled Eames Lounge and Ottoman and were released in 1956 after years of development by designers⠀

Everybody's definition of "home" is different and our goal is to build something that is so much more than sticks and stones. We want it to be modern but classic, stylish but functional and a place where family and friends feel comfortable. The Dutch have a great word " Gezelligheid" which, depending on context, can be translated as 'conviviality', 'coziness', 'fun'. It is often used to describe a social and relaxed situation. Perhaps that's a word to use....

Mid century design had its genesis in California. Flat simple roof structures, open space and flow from inside to outside were hallmarks of the design. 70 years later these designs still look contemporary, stylish and functional..!⠀
