Coming along- I’m going to see if I can add a hood and the sleeves and finish the skirt with side pockets tomorrow. Also add some inside pockets.

It’s been a minute since I made a qupak but I’m finally finished. I ended up cooking dinner and making sure my mom ate in between today.

In between taking care of my momma I’m working on a skirted parka cover. Getting the qupak off the way. It will be similar style to this red one I made and a size Medium.

Someone asked if I would share my akutuk recipe. Here is the recipe I use. I watched many videos and found other peoples recipes online several years ago and tweaked it to my liking. If you have questions send me a message. Everyone makes theirs different and that’s okay. This is what I am used to growing up. Back in my home town we always used berries from the land but I don’t always have any do I started using fresh store bought berries. You can use either one and or a combination of both. Taikuu.

Good Morning, I will have a few raffles today.

4 pack tumblers and a few atikluks. The tumblers will be made in the next day or two and mailed priority. I haven’t been home in 2 days but I will go home this evening.

I can add names, quotes, verses. The designs will be all my personal designs to choose from and I have a few silver tumblers I can use. I will try to do 4 tumbler raffles.

All the money (minus shipping) will be used for air fairs, funeral cost to lay my cousin Sigwien Riley Sr. to rest. There is 10 people in the immediate family (siblings, children, mom and partner) that needs to fly from Anchorage to Kotzebue and than to Selawik.

We will also be taking any donations. Taikuu for your thoughts and prayers during this time.

I am always wanting to find something new to try and sew. I believe I found the perfect nursing top. If I make this I’ll add a hood on it. A friend asked if I would consider making her a nursing top and I told her sometimes after the holiday I would attempt to. In a week or two that will be one to knock out of the ball park.

Getting my day started with this. I am going to work on knocking out some projects the next few days. Once I’m done with that I’ll take 5 orders for stretchy materials atikluks and I have 2 people already who asked last night. Should take me about 2-3 days to get caught up on stuff. Taikuu.

This pocket turned out a lot better than previous ones. I know if I keep doing it I can only get better. I watched videos and etc. I used a few tips on what I seen. Let’s see if I can get it on just as good.

Cutting table. I’m glad that it’s at my waist level, saves on body aches and etc. being ergonomically correct. I just need a soft mat to stand on now.

I am working on stretchy atikluks today. I went and got a few things from Joann’s and picked up some materials also.

I’ve never made a yellow or green atikluk before. 🙂

I had to just go ahead an add the skirt. I just need to do the cuffs. I am still thinking if I like this way to put the skirt. I feel like it takes me longer. But I love the look as well as the other way I do my skirts. Just love a good ruffle. I always line my hoods on my cotton atikluks and my pockets are lined as well. I found a new way to hide some stitches on the inside of the skirt.

My husband came through this morning. He wasn’t able to fix my serger this morning after multiple attempts. So he went and bought me a new serger. I have 5 materials I am going to be making all skirted atikluks ranging from XL to 2XL.
