Primitive Grove Circle

Primitive Grove Circle is based in southern New Jersey and hosts/co-hosts 4 public sabbat celebrations each year. Coven membership is by invitation only.

This page is intended to share those public events and general holiday musings. Within the coven, we do not tolerate racism, bigotry, homophobia, transphobia, sexism, or ableism as these forces are destructive to the self and to community. Harassment and uninvited displays of affection are verboten. We hold that every individual has the right to be secure and respected in their own person; in body

, in mind, and in spirit. Therefore, the following will not be tolerated:
● The use or possession of illegal substances or legal mind-altering substances at or in connection with kindred ceremonies or activities.
● Forcing or coercing another to participate in sexual activity against their desire; or to consume mind-altering substances against their will; or requiring complete or partial nudity of any individual against their will; or obtaining consent to any of these by deception or misrepresentation, or under color of authority, regardless of the circumstances under which these actions take place.
● Any deliberate action directed toward another member or guest that is intended to cause injury, harm, or pain, be it physical, mental, or emotional, where it is clear that the member in doing so has acted inappropriately, out of proportion to the circumstances, or in abuse of their discretions. We expect our coven members and guests to act respectfully towards each other, our gods, and our goddesses. All those who participate in our rituals should be fully present and mindful of others during our ceremonies. Due to liability concerns for the coven, and ceremony host, consumption of alcoholic beverages is limited to what is being used in the context of ritual coven events. Additionally, due to insurance liability issues, pets (including service/companion animals) are not permitted on private property; events held at public venues are subject to the regulations of the venue. Participants are also expected to silence their electronic devices and refrain from smoking and consuming other forms of to***co or ni****ne until it is announced that the ceremony has ended or a break between activities will be taken. Please dispose of cigarette butts or other waste in the designated location. We encourage participants to wear comfortable and non-distracting attire at our events.

We are disheartened to announce that due to rising flu, RSV. and COVID cases in our area and limited space at the shop, we are canceling the Yule celebration. Be sure to watch the page for our next scheduled public event in 2023. Until then, have a safe and joyful Yuletide season!

whose blood runs through our core.
The magic of this night is within us all.
It is the power from which we heed the call.

Grateful that the Earth's bounty of the year has sufficed
and humbled by our animals' companionship and sacrifice.
Nourishing and nurturing, we ground ourselves in the dark time
Knowing that the rest and reflection are sublime.
