Taong 2012, nagtapos sa pinakamataas na antas ng pag-aaral sa gwadrado sa titulong Doktor sa Pilosopiya ng Edukasyon sa Filipino. Nagkamit ng gantimpalang Dr. Santiago G. Ortega Memorial Awards for Graduate of Doctor of Philosophy in Education at G**o Award 2012. Nakatanggap ng Parangal bilang Selyo ng Kahusayan (Seal of Excellence) sa buong Pilipinas noong nakaraang 19 Agosto 2016 sa Bahay Alumni, Unibersidad ng Pilipinas, Lungsod ng Quezon. Nakatanggap ng Parangal bilang Service Award (30 Years in Service) noong nakaraang 19 Disyembre 2017 sa Central Bicol State University of Agriculture, San Jose, Pili, Camarines Sur. Nakatanggap ng Parangal bilang Outstanding Graduate School Alumna noong nakaraang 13 Pebrero 2018 sa University of Saint Anthony, Iriga City. Ang kanyang dedikasyon sa pakikilahok sa pagtuturo at ang kanyang walang humpay na pamumuno sa pagpapatupad ng mga programa at proyekto ng Sentro ng Wika at Kultura (SWK) bilang Direktor ito’y malaki ang naiambag sa pagpapaunlad, mabuting pangalan at reputasyon ng unibersidad noong nakaraang 15 Marso 2018 sa CBSUA, San Jose, Pili, Camarines Sur during the Centennial Anniversary Celebration Awards Ceremony.
Nakatanggap ng Parangal bilang Gawad Ambag 2018 National Awardee noong nakaraang 1 Hunyo 2018 sa LCC Event Center, LCC Mall, Naga City. Nakatanggap ng Parangal bilang 2018 Asian Achiever Awardee Outstanding Educator & Civic Leader during the 30th Asia-Pacific Excellence Awards & 39th Year Ender Top Choice Awards noong nakaraang 15 Disyembre 2018 sa AFP Theater Quezon City. Nakatanggap ng Parangal bilang Gawad Sikhay Awardee & Lingkod-Bayan Awards noong nakaraang 22 Disyembre 2018 sa Prime Suite Hotel Daet, Camarines Norte. At sa kasalukuyan nakatanggap ng Parangal bilang Pambansang Gawad PAT 2019 (Pagtuturo na may Alab at Talino) noong nakaraang 31 Mayo 2019 sa LCC Mall, Felix Plazo St., Lungsod ng Naga. Natanggap niya rin ang mga sumusunod na Awards 2019 World Class Achiever awardee, Outstanding Asian Educator & Civic Leader noong 30 Nobyembre 2019 sa Novotel Araneta City, Quezon City, Philippines. Nakatanggap din siya ng Parangal bilang Gawad Sikhay Awardee, Gabi ng Parangal 2019, Outstanding Volunteer Award, Research Icon of the Year at Dangal ng Wika noong 16 Disyembre 2019. Binigyan din siya ng Parangal ng Asia Pacific Association of Educators Training Institute bilang Outstanding College Instructor noong 11 Enero 2020 sa Bay Leaf Hotel, Gen. Trias, Cavite, Philippines at Outstanding Teacher of the Year sa First INSTABRIGHT NATIONAL AWARDS FOR EDUCATORS noong 11 Enero 2020 sa Lungsod ng Tagaytay. Binigyan din siya ng Gawad Pagpapahalaga bilang Kagawad SangGanap, Pambansang Komite sa Wika at Salin, Subkomisyon sa Pagpapalaganap Pangkultura (2017-2019) noong 26 Pebrero 2020 sa Luxent Hotel, Lungsod ng Quezon.
Nagturo sa Filipino at Musika sa Mataas na Paaralan at Kolehiyo ng CBSUA. Dating pangalawang Direktor ng Banda ng CBSUA at naging Direktor ng Panrehiyong Sentro ng Wikang Filipino mula Hulyo 27, 2009 at nanungkulang bilang Direktor ng Sentro ng Wika at Kultura mula Hulyo 28, 2009 hanggang Enero 31, 2021 na nakabase sa CBSUA, San Jose, Pili, Camarines Sur at kasalukuyang Tagapangulo, Departamento ng Humanidades, Math, PE, ICT, at STS sa Kolehiyo ng mga Sining at Agham at nagtuturo ng Asignaturang Filipino at Panitikan.

GENE KERVIN S. BORJA II is a PhD student of Development Education of Central Bicol State University of Agriculture – Pili Campus and a third year Juris Doctor student of University of Nueva Caceres, Naga City. He is an Part-Time Instructor at the Central Bicol State University of Agriculture – Pili Campus, where he teaches Social Sciences subjects such as The Contemporary World, Economics and Philippine History. Moreover, he is a Licensed Professional Teacher and his research interests focus on politics, with specific emphasis on public policy and law. He is currently affiliated to Saysay Bikol as the Director for Finance and Member of the Editorial Team.

Education, if it is watched past its predictable boundaries, appears to be the actual spirit of our actions, and as the well-known quotation speaks that “Education makes a door to bright future”, I decided to open a door on my own little ways for our children, the young generation.
Before St. Jude College of Bulacan was built, there are lots of open opportunities that were offered to me. Left and right I have a lot of options. But then I choose the one in front of me, my cherished dream with a selfless advocacy - a dream that wasn’t only for me and my family but for the other people around me, and the mere center of that dream are the “children”.
I studied a lot of books. I learned a lot from my previous studies and experiences. I became inspired and one thing makes all the sense and that is “education is self-empowerment”. The value of education in our society plays a big role and is necessary and adhering, which is why humanity and knowledge cannot be ever unglued into two separate beings. As COVID19 brushed earth with its hazard and schools were forced to shut, it leaves a devastating effect to our community. It was said that an era’s worth of progress was vanished and so to education. As such, my inner love for education ignites, and there starts my benevolent advocacy.
St. Jude College of Bulacan is just a big dream for me back then. I was very ecstatic knowing that I brought that big dream into reality. Seeing how the children lose their enthusiasm in learning, watching the news about the struggles of the learners in their present education, the teachers who lost their jobs and even their parents who were trying their best to provide for the whole family touched my heart. As I am also a parent, and I have two daughters, I know exactly how it feels to be in their shoes. For that reason, I became sure of what I wanted to do. It felt risky at first but I managed to be brave enough to continue with my purest intentions.
I develop the school of my dreams with the help of my school partners and my trusted colleagues. The school rose with a good reputation and booming sound. The first months became satisfyingly successful and up to this day it still has the blazing spirit it has the first time it was heard. St. Jude college of Bulacan offers online educational routine and normalcy at the same time. It provides knowledge and competencies made to take action in the present challenges caused by the pandemic. We became ready for any future concerns as we are now preparing for health-oriented response towards the pandemic without compromising the quality of education of our dear St. Jude Icons.
None of this is likely to happen, however, without the determination and expertise of the teachers. Back then, I saw how the needs of the teachers are left under-addressed. In my previous working experiences, it was saddening to see the daily struggles of the teachers in a lot of aspects. Now, that I’ve been given the opportunity to change that, I will not turn a blind eye. In St. Jude College of Bulacan we made an oath to set those priorities at the forefront and to provide support to the teachers in terms of their health and wellbeing, professional development, and adequate compensation. With all these, the teachers were happy to teach and fewer problems were encountered.
As the parents observed how we lived our days in St. Jude College of Bulacan, they became enthused and encouraged. They showered us will a lot of positive comments and feedbacks. They were pleased on how the teachers of SJCB provide learning and engagement to their children and words were spread by mouth. We didn’t expect the number of enrollees that we currently have, and we thank God for all of these blessings. It is very true that when your intentions are pure, good things will follow. Again, to God is all the highest glory.
