đŸ”„ Introducing the new Platin Hero!

Friends!

We’ve decided to transition Platin Hero to the PLC Ultima blockchain. There have been a number of changes on the site, but the key functionality hasn’t changed: Platin Hero remains a platform where projects and people can find funding for their ideas.

Please note that all projects that haven’t reached their goals will be shut down
Due to the transition to the new blockchain, donations in PLC will no longer be available. Therefore, if the project failed to raise funds on Platin Hero before switching to PLC Ultima, then the project will be shut down. Project starters will be able to launch a new campaign on the updated site.

Stay tuned to our social networks - as soon as Platin Hero opens for projects, we will immediately inform you!

COL Project and the best campaign of May 2021!

One of the most exciting campaigns recently published on Platin Hero is the COL project.

COL is a young project based in Saxony, Germany. COL is developing products that can potentially help many people cure diseases and overcome weight problems. It focuses on products helping activate and optimize metabolism!

COL uses orthomolecular metabolism activation that melts away precisely those fat reserves that stubbornly refuse to go on a conventional diet. The program is suitable for both: men and women and allows losing the excess pounds.

Benefits of becoming fitter include other positive effects, such as:

✓ a better mood and higher performance,

✓ more sculptural body,

✓ a better, smoother skin.

Some serious diseases can be treated by metabolism improvement. So this COL method not only helps to solve the overweight problem but also saves lives.

The global COVID pandemic had some consequences for the COL, limiting their activity on the market.

Due to this reason, the company decided to reorganize and change the distribution of its services via digital media.

COL has recently launched a COL-Support campaign at the Platin Hero Platform, with a goal of crowdfunding 1000 PLC in exchange for the reward in their products. The campaign will end on August 22nd, 2021. However, the project already hit the target, with six donors and 1850 PLC collected.

As the COL stated, the funds raised in this campaign will be used for company adaption to the new market conditions, allowing the project to continue caring for and treating their patients in the best possible way.

The PlatinHero team is always proud to share success stories of crowdfunding campaigns launched on PlatinHero, especially when these businesses improve people's lives!

ICO vs Crowdfund

ICO and crowdfunding are used for the same purpose to raise funding, so what are the main differences of these methods? Let's explore both options in detail.

ICO stands for initial exchange offering. It is a crypto alternative to IPO ( initial public offering). ICO is organized by the startup that is entering the exchange to raise funds for the product development. Usually the project presents a roadmap and White paper stating main goals for the ICO and future development. There are different players on the market who are participating in the ICO, often you can see in the news that large investment funds are taking part in ICOs. So ICO is made for attracting funds from investors. Investors are receiving project coins in exchange for their fundings. They will get revenue from the project when the project’s token will grow in price. Project tokens reflect the company value, and are similar to the shares.

The term Crowdfunding originates from two words: crowd and funding, and in very general meaning it is anything “funded by a crowd”. Crowdfunding is used by individuals and projects to raise funds for specific ideas, sometimes these are business ideas, and sometimes they are not. Amount of funds are generally much smaller than in ICO and contributions are mostly made by people, and not by funds.

Crowdfunding is more presenting the product, or the idea, and donors are supporting the final product or idea presented in the crowdfunding campaign. Role of a founder in crowdfunding doesn’t have such importance as in the ICO. How do donors receive benefits in crowdfunding? Most of the platforms provide some percentage of reward for all donors. Often the initiator of the campaign is also giving special terms for reward in the original announcement for the campaign.

ICO and crowdfunding are two very different methods and based on different principles. They have different audiences too: ICO investors are led by interest to earn the income, and supporters of crowdfunding projects have got more interest in the product and idea itself. The projects presented at these two platforms differ too. For ICO these are startups, and for crowdfunding these are mainly individuals.

Platin Hero’s project of the week: high-tech scooter rental points in Mongolia!

Have you ever wondered how good it would be to have more than 24 hours in a day? Actually, you don’t need so much time to manage everything and everywhere! Just be quick and mobile! This is why the Rental Scooter project was launched on PlatinHero!

The road infrastructure of the Mongolian capital, Ulaanbaatar, cannot catch up to keep pace with the population and the traffic load. This causes thousands of people to waste 4-5 hours in traffic jams daily, be late for work, and, as a result, fail to cope with their tasks.

The project addresses this problem by introducing high-tech scooter rental hotspots. It will enable the Ulaanbaatar residents to save precious travel time and make moving around the city easier and more comfortable. This optimization of the transport system will contribute to tourism development, expand the service sector, and thereby enrich the capital's culture.

Today, scooter rental hotspots have long been common in developed countries worldwide. In Switzerland, for example, anyone can rent one for a day. Driving a scooter makes it possible to quickly get from one end of a city to the other, sightseeing on the way.

If successfully implemented in Ulaanbaatar, the Rental Scooter project may also appear in other Mongolian cities. And then, who knows
What if scooters will replace bulky cars one day?

So far, the project has already collected 7% of the reported amount of 20 000 PLC. Help the residents of Ulaanbaatar save their travel time and breathe new life into the city!

Crowdfunding project Conqueror of the Blazing Heart — MesoZoo Wars NFT!

Are you an investor and also a gamer? Then we provide you with a unique opportunity to purchase legendary collectables in the shape of NFT tokens! Mobile video game development team Zoomby Games Studio Ltd has launched its crowdfunding project, which combines cryptocurrencies with the thrilling game MesoZoo Wars.

You might have already heard of CryptoKitties, an online Ethereum blockchain game, where anyone can buy, sell, and breed virtual kitties. Thanks to Zoomby Games Studio developers, MesoZoo Wars should receive similar collectables, only clothing and player's inventory items. This includes legendary armour, weapons, amulets, and other valuable artefacts. They will also help players pass through the game and become an asset for investors. After all, the artefacts are NFT tokens, an exclusive digital product and a completely unique investment.

MesoZoo Wars players can also trade their collected artefacts with other players. To do this, each player can tokenize any artefact and remove it from their game. Product tokenization is followed by the creation of an ERC-721 token. Tokenization takes place outside the game; therefore, it does not violate the App Store or Play Market policies.

You can support the MesoZoo Wars NFT project and find out more about it on the official Platin Hero website.

Are there any risks involved with Platin Hero?

There are no financial risks involved in our project, and there never will be! Please allow us to explain.
After freezing a certain number of PLC tokens in your wallet, a deposited smart contract is initiated. A portion of the generated PLC tokens is donated to your selected project. In return, you will receive a reward, which the project creator chooses for their sponsors on their own. The project creator also decides whether the rewards will be delivered to their sponsors regardless of whether the project's financial goal is achieved or not. But, irrespective of their decision, you will still retain complete control over your wallet and all your PLC tokens, including frozen ones! After all, they do not go anywhere and are not transferred to anyone else. The money you donate to start-ups is still yours, regardless of the crowdfunding campaign's outcome.

How do you run a successful crowdfunding campaign?

There is, of course, no universal formula for success. However, there are several much-needed components! We're going to reveal what you can't do without if you want to complete a successful crowdfunding campaign.

The correct budget estimates. It sounds simple, but have you really considered all the exact details? What about the cost of delivering rewards to sponsors? And SMM? Perhaps there is no universal formula for success, still, there is a formula for calculating a crowdfunding project's goal: cost of implementing an idea with promotion + costs of production and delivery of rewards + platform commission + taxes.

Modesty is the sister of talent. Despite the previous point, people are put off by large numbers. Making them seem out of reach makes you feel like your project is doomed to failure. Besides, the more substantial the amount of money you need, the more sponsors you'll also need. Then you will have to make a triple effort to promote it.

Your first campaign is a test of trust. Make sure that your audience won't be disappointed in you. To achieve this, respond to comments, communicate with subscribers, and keep them updated on your progress. Remember to create an adequate reward system! Don't reward your sponsors with a sweatshirt for a $1,000 contribution. It's going to come across as very rude! The value of the reward must be at least roughly comparable with the donation.

What’s the difference between crowdfunding and charity?

A charitable fundraiser is easy to set up on a crowdfunding platform; you will also come across them on Platin Hero. Yet crowdfunding and charity are not the same thing.

Charity is available for free to help in difficult situations. People turn to it when they have no other choice but to ask for help from an organisation or their community. On the other hand, crowdfunding involves a mutual exchange: a donator gives a certain amount of money to carry out an idea. The creator of a project provides a bonus or a gift in return. For example, it could be a version of the product scheduled to be released, a sweatshirt with a logo, a certificate, etc.

Simultaneously, crowdfunding, like charity, can be used for entirely different purposes, including personal ones. For example, to get an education or to help with emergency medical care. Most commonly, though, crowdfunding is used to develop start-ups. When talking about charity, the main motive is compassion, while in crowdfunding, it all depends on the project’s prospects. To attract donators’ attention, you must competently present your campaign, consider the rewards, provide two-way feedback, and so much more.

5 horrendous mistakes you could make when launching a crowdfunding campaign.

Posting a project on a platform is only half the battle! How do you prevent failure?

We are going to tell you precisely what you must never do!

1. Launching your crowdfunding campaign without a community. Active fundraising is not the right time to build your audience. During this time, you should be encouraging them to become donators! Therefore, from the outset of any project, you need to have your own "warmed up" community; otherwise, you won’t raise funds on time.

2. Not exploring the industry. You must understand what's happening in the area where you are launching your project. Discover the best way to communicate with its audience, their values, issues, and who their opinion leaders are.

3. Simplifying your project goal. If you're asking a creator of a campaign what their goal is, you will most likely hear: "We want to publish a book." But that's not their actual goal! Their real goal is, for example, to share information about a healthy lifestyle. Think about the bigger picture.

4. Not thinking about a reward. All donators want physical proof of their donation. Even a certificate, at the very least! People like to know that you genuinely appreciate their help.

5. Not updating your campaign information. Trust is essential in crowdfunding. To establish it, report your progress regularly. Publish posts, photos, and videos as evidence that things are moving forward.

WHAT IS THE BEST TIME TO LAUNCH A CROWDFUNDING PROJECT?

To successfully launch your crowdfunding campaign, you should consider an incredible number of details. For example, the day of the week and the start time play a crucial role. Why are these things important? Let’s take a look.

Choosing the right time will make it much easier to promote your project, allowing you to avoid seasonal risks and various difficulties related to crowdfunding platforms.

✅ August is the best month to launch your campaign. Although this month is the most ‘relaxed’ as it coincides with the end of the summer and vacations, August is also the month when most investments are raised.

✅ Wednesday is the best day of the week. On weekdays, people are more likely to browse crowdfunding platforms and consider business-related tasks. During the weekend, many people prefer to stay offline. The middle of the week, or Wednesday, is the best time. This day is the peak of work and financial activity.

✅ The best time is between 13:00 and 14:00, New York time. You can also conduct your operations at any time during the work day – the level of efficiency barely varies depending on the hour.

Millennial investors: the driving force of crowdfunding

Millennials are the generation of people born between 1980 and 1995. Their name originated due to their birth on the boundary between two eras: the twentieth and twenty-first centuries. Their key distinction from other generations lies in their adaptation and enthusiasm for technologies. Most millennials already had access to computers at a conscious age (and sometimes, when they were teenagers), while their parents – the previous generation X – were forced to adapt to technologies at a mature age, and thus have a less ‘flexible’ way of thinking.

The Internet is an essential part of life for millennials. Most of them have their own online lives that are separate from their real lives, and they often favor their virtual experiences more. For them, Wi-Fi is an essential need along with shelter and food in the Maslow pyramid. Millennials tend to rely on technology in all aspects of their lives: from finding a date to buying real estate.

How do millennials behave in the field of investing?

When it comes to investment habits, millennials are also different from previous generations. Their needs aren’t satisfied by traditional business forms and opportunities, as they aim to maximize profitability and prefer to invest in technological solutions and innovations with the potential to increase the quality of life for the entire population (and for them, too).

What do older generations do when they want to invest? They get in touch with their broker and purchase investments. What do millennials do in this case? They prefer to use online investment instruments. When selecting an investment method, they rely on the speed of the instrument and its convenience. Traditional methods of raising capital are too clunky and time-consuming, so millennials are less likely to turn to them. Instead of personally visiting a company and collecting all the required documents, millennials choose to make a few clicks with their mouse. Previous generations think that this method is unreliable, with no guarantees, while millennials find the comfort that is their top priority.

10 facts about crowdfunding - what's important to success

Crowdfunding is an opportunity to realize your dream project. But in order to succeed in this area, it is essential to gain a good understanding of its specifics. As a start, we've collected 10 facts about crowdfunding.

1. In crowdfunding, 90% of the success is down to marketing. Your idea needs to be heard at every stage. Therefore, right from the outset, a ready-made brand and image is key.

2. In crowdfunding, it is not fundamentally necessary to interact directly with the sponsor. Investors can neither limit your actions nor determine your strategy.

3. It is best to invest in "useful" projects that strive to make our lives and world better.

4. You can find sponsors anywhere in the world; geographic location is no longer a hindrance to business development!

5. Attraction of investments = promotion. By attracting investors, you are also attracting future buyers, so from the beginning, write and speak as if you are addressing potential future users.

6. Investing = online purchase. Consider that your idea is being bought as a product - therefore you need reviews and a high-quality description of the idea.

7. Crowdfunding opens up additional opportunities for people with disabilities and helps to overcome adverse circumstances.

8. There are niche crowdfunding platforms. So, if you're an artist, turn to Patreon. If you are an inventor, there is Quirky.com, and so on.

9. The crowdfunding market is growing at 16% per year, and in 2019 6.5 million crowdfunding campaigns reached their goal.

10. Your favourite entertainment is also a crowdfunding achievement. Just take the Oculus Rift VR glasses, the manufacturer of which was later acquired by Mark Zuckerberg himself.

Crowdfunding, crowd investing, crowdlending - do you know the difference?

We know that our readers are real crowdfunding heroes! And we have many common achievements awaiting us. So, let's agree on the concepts 😉
Crowdfunding is the attraction of investments for the manufacture of a product. For example, a certain company, such as Arbuz LLC, decides to create and launch a new product on the market - the Arbfon smartphone. It launches a fundraising campaign to raise capital for the production of a batch of arbphones - this is crowdfunding in its purest and most familiar form. As a reward for the donation, Arbuz will donate ready-made arbphones to the participants of the fundraiser or reward a proportion of the profit arising from their sale.

Crowd investing is about investing in startups and small businesses. Unlike crowdfunding, it is not just individuals who can invest, but also legal entities (such as registered companies). The invested funds are always returned - either in the form of participation in the division of profits or in the form of interest. That is, if crowdfunding is a collection of funds for the production of arbphones, then in the case of crowd investing, the participants transfer funds to the founder of the Arbuz startup to create and launch a business.

Crowdlending is another type of financing for business projects, where only individuals can act as investors. They can invest only in legal entities (companies). Individuals make a profit from their investment in the form of interest. You can earn between 10 to 30% per annum.
