Did you miss us at Golden Dagger? Don't worry, we're popping up at Bookclub next Thursday (June 22). Even better, we'll be joined by our friends Better Odds and Midamerican Elevator.

Greg is pulling a double header, playing for MAE and Holy Joke. Jonah is pulling double duty with Holy Joke and Better Odds. There will be cameos, there will be jams, you don't want to miss it.

DM us for the address of the venue.

This Thursday at the Holy Joke EP release show, the inimitable will kick off the night! Sydney Richards is an indie pop/rock artist from Florida who currently resides in Chicago. With a passion for telling stories through music, her songs offer a glimpse into her own personal journey and observations on the human condition. She released her first single “Green Bottles” in 2022, and her second single “Good At Guitar” is out now on streaming platforms. Her current D&D character is a wild magic barbarian.

She starts at 8pm sharp, so don’t miss it!

We’re incredibly lucky to be joined by our friend Lawrence Tome for the EP release show on June 8. I ran into him the other day and asked if he was excited about the show. He squinted his eyes, ran his fingers through his beard, and after a few moments of silence he said this:

Lawrence Tome is the King of the River
Once, while combing the seaweed of the river bed, Lawrence found a silver dagger. He had heard of a magical dagger that, when the right song is sung, would like a compass point toward a long lost treasure. He sang every song he knew, but the silver dagger stayed static.

Lawrence hopes the Golden Dagger will show the way.
