The time for virtue signals is over. Our rights are literally being taken from us. falling is catastrophic.

We can abolish the filibuster. We can expand the Supreme Court. We can stop taking money from corporations who actively fund anti-choice votes. We can ACT.

How Houston Moved 25,000 People From the Streets Into Homes of Their Own 17/06/2022

We CAN and WILL make intentional choices to end homelessness in America. is a shining example of when leaders at all levels come together, real change is possible. So much admiration for the hard work and leadership in the city of Houston.

"During the last decade, Houston...has moved more than 25,000 homeless people directly into apartments and houses. The overwhelming majority of them have remained housed after 2 years. The number of people deemed homeless in the Houston region has been cut by 63 % since 2011...”

How Houston Moved 25,000 People From the Streets Into Homes of Their Own The nation’s fourth-largest city hasn’t solved homelessness, but its remarkable progress can suggest a way forward.

I’m so proud to share our campaign’s multilingual video! As the son of immigrants, I’ve always yearned for intentional political engagement that was geared towards my heritage. This is what community is all about!

My sincere hope is that this video becomes a standard for how candidates and campaigns connect with the immigrant and multilingual communities of their districts. Please stay tuned for the full translation videos, which will be released in the upcoming days.

Thank you so much to Annie Guo VanDan, Mimi Luong Ye, Christian Ortiz, and my wonderful mother for their partnership and the hard work they put in to translating our message. Extra shoutout to Christian for producing this video and being such an incredible ally to our campaign since the offset.

It’s Now or Never: Let’s Build a Green Economy 18/05/2022

A world beyond fossil fuels and systemic social-ecological harm is possible. Denver is ready to take a step forward and become a leading voice in the fight for a Green New Deal. It’s truly now or never. Let’s build a green economy!

Opinion: Xcel Energy’s plan will move away from coal too slowly 18/05/2022

My 1st Op-Ed as a coauthor!!! The latest Xcelenergy plan is a lethal commitment to fossil fuel production. It’s time for elected officials to stop taking money from corporations happy to see our communities burn in the name of profit.

Huge shoutout to my colleagues Marie Venner and Jamie Valdez for their hard work on this editorial. Thank you as well to all of our state’s environmental leaders and organizations for their relentless efforts to fight for our communities and hold these corporations accountable.

Opinion: Xcel Energy’s plan will move away from coal too slowly Xcel’s latest plan is a bloated commitment to maintaining big, outdated, centralized fossil fuel generation for far too long.

New program will pay for Indigenous students’ higher education - MSU Denver RED 10/05/2022

I applaud Metropolitan State University of Denver for taking this important step to create equity for Indigenous and Native students. All universities should follow MSU's lead to provide meaningful reparations for BIPOC communities who have been victims of white supremacy.

Federal funding for programs like these are something that Congress has the power to create. Once elected, I am committed to fighting for more federal funding designed to create racial equity for BIPOC communities in our district and nationwide.

New program will pay for Indigenous students’ higher education - MSU Denver RED Thanks to a combination of federal, state and institutional grants, Metropolitan State University of Denver will fully cover Indigenous and Native students’ tuition and fees, beginning in the fall 2022 semester.

How can the communities of Denver trust their rights are being protected when our pro-choice representative, Congresswoman Diana DeGette has accepted $30,000+ in THIS cycle from these corporations?
