Apart from marrying Naveen Kaur, this has been the most meaningful experience of my life. I’m so incredibly proud of all of us. Whether I’m a congressman, candidate, or community member, our fight doesn’t stop. My heart is yours Denver. Tonight, we hold our heads high.

Today, Denver has the opportunity to elect the first person of color to represent our communities in the halls of Congress and the only federal rep in our state who has never accepted corporate PAC money.

I applaud Metropolitan State University of Denver for taking this important step to create equity for Indigenous and Native students. All universities should follow MSU's lead to provide meaningful reparations for BIPOC communities who have been victims of white supremacy.

Federal funding for programs like these are something that Congress has the power to create. Once elected, I am committed to fighting for more federal funding designed to create racial equity for BIPOC communities in our district and nationwide.

New program will pay for Indigenous students’ higher education - MSU Denver RED Thanks to a combination of federal, state and institutional grants, Metropolitan State University of Denver will fully cover Indigenous and Native students’ tuition and fees, beginning in the fall 2022 semester.

How can the communities of Denver trust their rights are being protected when our pro-choice representative, Congresswoman Diana DeGette has accepted $30,000+ in THIS cycle from these corporations?
