Duck duck Goose

Duck duck Goose

Duck duck Goose imprinted to her human parent and pug siblings. Although the Wilks birds see her as another bird, she knows he is actually a human/pug.

When the geese have a pool, but they insist on taking over your water dish....

Taking a break from pulling and clipping weeds out of the cracks between the patio stones. The birds were very helpful as they had to be touching me at all times 🤣

We just had a shower in the garden hose, and now we're snacking on grass.

The brown bill is passive and cooperative. Put her in a box, and she'll plop down and relax. Hold her on your chest, and she'll sit still and enjoy the warmth. Put her on your lap in the car, and she'll take a nap.

The black bill is very assertive. Put her in a box, and she'll stand the whole time and complain every time the box shifts causing her to lose her balance. Hold her on your chest, and she wants to climb onto your shoulder. Put her in your lap in the car, and she walk around and complain until you lift her up so she can look out the window (the first time she saw put the window, she commented anxiously about the speed the world was passing her by).

*I don't yet know the gender of the birds. I call them she out of habit from having a female goose before.

Mikki, the cat, is intrigued. She was a ferral who hired us humans to feed and house her, so we keep the goslings out of her reach.

I moved to the country and have a safe place for birds now. I just adopted two gosling. I work now, so I chose to bring home a pair to keep each other company.

Duck duck Goose took her journey over the rainbow bridge this last spring. I was broken- hearted to lose my best friend and neglected to share with her friends on this page. For that, I apologize.

She lived a happy 8 years in this Earth, and she was preceded over the bridge by her pug siblings, Goliath (14yrs) and Jezebel (13yrs), last winter. I like to imagine her excitement and happiness at seeing her siblings again.

She left her younger brother, Nebs, a four year old pug, who often cried for the loss of his three siblings. He is now adjusting, thanks to the arrival of his pug-mix cousin when my sister moved in with me.

I talked to a sweet farm boy who is selling geese on the classifieds, and he said he'd incubate and hatch a gosling to be brought up imprinted to me and his/her siblings. It won't be the same as having Duck duck Goose. But she taught me that a goose makes a beautiful, loving pet, and I can't wait to meet her younger, not yet created sibling.

Thank you all for loving Duck duck Goose as much as I have ❤
