Cheena-vala
People in Kerala use fishing nets similar to those in China for centuries. They are locally known as "Cheena-vala'.
Chinese fishing nets are the living monuments of Kochi and a symbol of Kerala Tourism.
They are believed to be brought by some traders from the court of Kublai Khan in China and became a part of Kerala.

A VILLAGE BALLAD
During the course of our series of journeys to the Sundarbans, we came across several artists, who mesmerized us with their music. Goshto Das lives in Hingalganj, near Sunderbans bordering Bangladesh and India and which is one of the wildest, tangles of Mangroove swamp.
Saurav Moni, the renowned Bhatiali & Baul Exponent was our fellow traveler in this
an ecstatic musical journey.
Goshto sings a song inspired by Bhawaiya, one of the iconic genres of folk songs of Bengal. The imagery which the song conjures up is a form of Gramyo Geet or Village Ballad – that speaks of love and loss and endless longing within a woman’s heart.

Music from Morocco
The player holds a pair of Qraqeb in each hand and creates a clinking sound from the metal bodies being struck against each other.
The QRAQEB (also known as karkabas) commonly used in Gnawa music of Morocco.
Originally made out of iron, they are now normally made out of a steel alloy. These large metallic instruments have a playing style similar to cymbals.
The sound from the Qraqeb resembles the clip-clop of a horse’s hooves
Petrichor (/ˈpɛtrɪkɔːr/) is the earthy scent produced when rain falls on dry soil. The word is constructed from Greek petra (πέτρα), "rock", or Petros (πέτρος), "stone", and īchōr (ἰχώρ), the fluid that flows in the veins of the gods in Greek mythology.
It's discoverer the late Mr. Richard Grenfell Thomas obtained the oil by steam distilling rocks that had been exposed to warm dry conditions in the open. In fact, he wasn't the first person to extract the oil thus. He later discovered a small Indian Perfumery had been using it for years to produce a scent called Matti ka attar or "earth perfume".
The arrival of rain is considered a good omen in cultures all over the world. Harbinger of growth, rains here arrive as hope. It comes as a moment of clarity after days of depravity. The smell of the first rain is both hopeful and nostalgic at the same time. With the onset of the monsoon, we believe its a new beginning, let’s have faith that things will change. We would grow strong and everything will be fine.

“If a song moves you, that's all that's important."
This was shot in Shillong, 2019.
“Blowin’ in the Wind” is a song written by Dylan in 1962. It is a protest song that raises rhetorical questions about peace, war and freedom. He believes that the answers are there, however, no one dares to find them.
Dylan's lyrics incorporate political, social, philosophical, and literary influences and he has worked with musical genres including folk, blues, country, rock and roll, and gospel.
Lou Majaw is an Indian legendary musician with more than 50 years of service to music. He lives and works in Shillong, a place obsessed with Dylan. In 1966, Lou was introduced to Bob Dylan's work. Inspired by his music, he later organized a "Dylan's birthday concert" in Shillong on 24 May 1972. Since then he has organized the concert each year on 24 May to pay obeisance to Dylan, with the shows generating national and international interest.
