Did you know that people who start drinking before age 15 are 4 times more likely to abuse alcohol later in life. That's why teaching your teen about how alcohol influences their mind, body, and mood now--and how to refuse it--can help them make the best decisions for their health and wellbeing. Coalition Mission
The SW Seattle Youth Alliance’s mission is to promote health and well-being, foster a sense of love and belonging, and prevent and reduce youth substance abuse through compassionate and culturally appropriate collaboration.
About the Community Prevention and Wellness Initiative (CPWI):
CPWI is a partnership of state agencies, counties, schools and local prevention coalitions supporting communities in preventing alcohol and other drug abuse and its negative consequences. CPWI priorities include reducing underage drinking, ma*****na use and opioid misuse/abuse among middle and high school aged youth. By providing evidence-based practices and promoting the positive changes in communities, we can build healthier communities.
