INFLUENCE: the capacity to have an effect on the character, development, or behaviour of someone or something, or the effect, itself.
Sometimes we forget that in order to be an influencer, you must first have influence.
In order to be a successful influencer, you must develop a connection with your community, build trust, and have the ability to influence a community to take positive action.
One of the questions we hear most often is, “How do I start working with brands?!”
The answer? Pitch yourself!

What should you be considering when signing Influencer contracts? ✍️
+ Usage Rights - is the brand requesting rights to use your content for anything beyond social reposting with proper accreditation?
+ Exclusivity - are you being asked to sign into an exclusivity clause with the brand, meaning you are unable to work with like/competitive brands for a certain amount of time?
+ Timeline - what is the timeline for the deliverables on your collaboration? Is it realistic? Does there need to be a rush fee?
+ Revisions - how many revisions do the brand expect you to make? How many revisions can you commit to making? You don't want to get stuck in the position where you're going back and forth with a brand having to recreate your content multiple times. Often 1-2 revisions should be enough given the deliverables are clear from the beginning.
+ Clear Deliverables - the creator and the brand should have clearly outlined expectations on what is going to be delivered in any given project/collaboration.
These are all extremely important when evaluating your contracts. Not only does it allow for a clear outline of expectations for both parties, but it also gives you, the creator, a good idea of what should be included in your rates.

Hashtags work, so it’s important that you’re using them on all your posts! Don’t believe us? Swipe ➡️ the proof is in the pudding!
So what’s our advice?
#️⃣ Use all 30
#️⃣ Change them up – don’t use the same hashtags on every post. Compile a list of ~ 100 hashtags that fall within your content pillars and rotate.
#️⃣ Use small hashtags – don’t get caught up in only using trending hashtags that have over 1M hits. You have a better chance of getting discovered on hashtags that have a slightly smaller reach.
#️⃣ Use niche specific hashtags – don’t bother using hashtags that aren’t within your niche because although this might leave your singular photo being discovered, it won’t convert to new followers & increased engagement.
#️⃣ Use location specific hashtags – target the right audience by tagging locations that you’re in or that you’re targeting for your brand/business.
