🕌🕌 RAMADAN MUBARAK 🕌🕌

What a pleasure it was to create these bespoke Ramadan gift boxes for a very generous customer who wanted something special and unique for his friends and family.

We love interacting with our customers and adding that personal touch to each and every order.

Upon initial discussion the customer expressed he wanted to include Medjool Dates into his customised Baklava box but of course we don't do things by halves. 😜

Ramadan is all about giving to the needy and thinking of others so we decided to take this opportunity to support the fantastic charity The Date Project
They provide food and water to the homeless and refugees in several countries around the world including Palestine, Syria, Bangladesh, Somalia and the UK.

We suggested pitting the dates, filling them with a nut and then dipping in chocolate and sprinkling with a topping...we love a bit of variety and proposed a selection of milk and white chocolate covered dates.
Our customer decided he wanted a selection of 12 dates per box and requested we include plain ones too.

It was challenging but hugely rewarding to individually make every single baklava piece and date, the true meaning of artisan.

Each box consisted of 12 pcs of Baklava:
2 Pistachio, 2 Snickers, 2 Pistachio with Rose, 2 Ferrero Rocher, 2 Oreo and 2 Walnut.

Topped with 12 pcs of Medjool Dates:

4 Plain with Almond, 4 White Chocolate & Strawberry and 4 Milk Chocolate with Handmade Honeycomb.

We then designed a customised gift tag and ribboned both selections to combine them into 1 gift box.
Then repeated 31 times 😜😅

The customer planned to gift them during this long weekend and we look forward to hearing the feedback- which makes all the hard work worthwhile!

We love being a part of your special occasions and are already excited for the upcoming Eid orders.....get booking, we don't like turning people away. ☺️

That concludes a very busy weekend for us at Baklavalicious!

We had hoped to offer Afternoon Tea for Mother's Day last year but we were unsuccessful so we couldn't miss the opportunity this year!.
The response has been overwhelming and yet humbling too.

We love having the opportunity to showcase our extensive skills hence we challenge ourselves with our menus.
To have to cater for over 20 people with an array of elements to complete the Desi High Chai Platter was a challenge to say the least.
However, we are proud of our effort and determination to ensure each item was made to the highest standard. We can't stress enough how nothing ever leaves our kitchen until we're completely happy with it.

Thank you for all the likes, shares, comments and orders, to our new customers and our loyal ones - we appreciate you, we love doing what we do and you enable us to do that!

We have had many requests for it's return and thought what better occasion than Mother's Day for it to make it's comeback! 🙌🏼

Each element will be handmade by the Baklavalicious team and is a fantastic fusion of East meets West.
The afternoon tea box will contain a mixture of sweet and savoury elements in a sharing platter for Mum to share with one other! 😋

The official menu is to follow VERY SOON (we won't settle on less than perfection....debates currently in progress for the final few items! 😜)

We have for you a handcrafted heart shaped delicate sponge infused with 3 milks, adorned with cream and strawberries and a sprinkling of heart shaped confetti; all placed in a sea of Pink Tres Leches Milk.

A tres leches cake, also known as milkcake, is a sponge cake—soaked in three kinds of milk: evaporated milk, condensed milk, and heavy cream. Tres leches is a very light cake, with many air bubbles...best served chilled.

We would like to wish you joyous festivities and the very best for the New Year.🪅

We have had an amazing year, we've grown and learned so much. We have had the pleasure of making baklava for all you wonderful folk, from our regulars to all the new people we've met. We've catered for weddings,👰💍 participated in craft fairs, had our first hygiene inspection and even made our first baklava 'cake'.🙌🏼

It's been a joy to join all the fabulous local traders at . We have felt incredibly supported by everyone, you've braved the cold 🥶 to come and buy our Baklava and visit us every month, without fail...We also love how you've renamed us the, 'Baklava girls'. 🥰

Although we thought we may be busy with Christmas orders we were completely inundated and literally up to our eyes in baklava. We are a small team with two bakers and everything is made to order so yes, we're exhausted, but we'd like to thank you for keeping us so busy! 🐝

Wow, what a rollercoaster we've had!

It is with immense pride and gratitude that we are uploading this to share our hygiene inspection rating. 🏆

We are passionate bakers and aim to uphold the highest standard of hygiene and quality in our baking so to receive such an accolade is an absolute honour. 🎓

As you will see from the second slide, the inspection is based on a scoring system - the higher the score, the lower the overall rating. The cherry on top of 0 points is most definitely something worth smiling about! 🍒

What an absolute delight to hear from Sejal once again upon the easing of wedding restrictions!
Like before these boxes went out with guest invites.
We usually require a weeks notice for large orders but the announcement from Mr Boris meant we had 48hrs to complete these boxes to enable Sejal and Tejas to send out more invitations asap!
We knew it'd be a push but it was absolutely worth it.
It was lovely to be a part of their wedding journey all the way from the beginning to the end.
Aside from this it was an honour to be handed their ceremonial platter to fill with our Artisan Baklava, beautifully adorned ready to gift to the Groom's family.
